Happy holidays. I've been saving up my moolah for the last couple of months to do a major overhaul of my rig. My i7-9700k is starting to show its age (and possibly some degradation due to overclocking) and I'm looking to upgrade my CPU. Obviously, this also entails changing the Motherboard and RAM due to the new sockets and standards. It is primarily going to be used for gaming (examples include Cyberpunk 2077, Heavily modified Creation Engine games, heavily modified Stellaris, heavily modified MineCraft, etc), but also some work within Blender, Photoshop, and compilation of code for BYOND applications - all outputted onto a 1440p ultrawide monitor and 3 1080p side monitors.

This list is my current plan for the upgrade, which is budgeted at around £900 (£650 in cash ATM, the rest through credit) and I cannot really stretch this much futher (think maybe £30 max). Anything marked as already purchased is being recycled from my current build. Not included in the list and budget is £25 for both thermal paste and new brackets to allow the cooler to be mounted correctly. However I wanted to consult you all on a couple of points - mainly the PSU.
- Is a 650w PSU suitable for this kind of build, or would it be prudent to downgrade my RAM and Motherboard selection to buy a more powerful unit?
- Can this specific PSU (Riotoro Enigma G2 650W 80+ Gold) actually support 2 EPS (8-Pin) connections? I've got conflicting information on this - PCPartPicker seems to think so, but the manufacturer only supplied me with 1 EPS cable - their documentation doesn't specify a limit. The model's sockets are also identical to the 750w version, which was supplied with 2 EPS cables.
- Assuming the Riotoro PSU is still good for this build, do I need to splash out for the X870E Motherboard, or would you recommend a cheaper X870 board? I'm open to suggestions on a specific one.
