My motherboard (MSI X670E Gaming Plus Wifi) didn't officially support 9000 series chips. I updated the bios to the latest beta which added support for them... But I'm still getting DRAM / CPU errors

I just built this rig today. When installing the CPU, I was extremely careful to match everything up and make sure it was seated properly due to the various issues I've seen other people experience. I'm not sure if this issue repeatedly showing up means I actually do need to check the CPU and possibly reseat it, but I might have to if nothing changes

I'd really appreciate any advice here

did you upgrade from a 7000 series, or is this being run for the first time?

oh yeah, that's a possibility - set a ten minute timer, and if it's not done, then assume there's a problem

already on it. I'm hoping for the best

(usually it only takes ~3 minutes but who knows)

I made sure to be extra careful when installing the gpu so Ima be hurt if it wounds up being a hardware issue

#

I also need to try the latest non beta BIOS

yeah, I have a 7900X3D and it took forever to boot on the first try, scared the pants off me

I was told I needed the beta, but I misread, so if this doesn't work, I'll try the latest stable one

#

If THAT doesn't work, then I'll pull off the AIO and investigate the cpu seating

over that actually

#

no change

#

guess I'll try the alternative bios

#

but I doubt it'll fix it

ah, okay - double-check which order the manual says to install the sticks, and try installing just one stick to see if that's the problem

I know it's not the normal 2^n sized memory, but I didn't think it would cause any issues
