Hey everyone, I’m new to PC parts and building, and I’m considering buying a pre-built gaming PC. I want to make sure I’m getting good value for my money, especially since my main preference is to run most games smoothly, no matter the graphics settings. Could you help me assess whether this PC is worth the price tag? Price tag for this build is $1,530USD.
#Is this pc build worth it?

can you build yourself, or do you have to go prebuilt
country? budget? general aesthetic preference? use case? purchase timeframe? hardware preference?
I mean that build is passable, pay another 40$ and get another pair of 16gb of ram and you will be fine
not optimal for the price
16 usually means 2x8
but fine, functionally
not really
I assum that mobo have 4 ram slot
yeah yeah "half rank" 8gb stick
still awful
at that pricepoint it's better to find one that comes with 32gb from the start
also @pale sentinel why can't you build yourself?
I don't shop in Au, so idk much about pricing there, especially prebuilt so can't really find one with 32gb
1,342 USD for this build
that actually looks more reasonable, still not great though
built one before but just a big muck around with building it
then why not just build
idk about Au pricing, can you provide me some link where I can check out product sold in Au
better price/performance
i don't know how to build them, i'd rather pay the price for something that i know it built properly
i'm not fussed with the price tags
to be fair, at 1350$, it's still pretty hard to step up to a 4070ti/super, maybe rx 7900xt build in in budget though
so the 2 builds that i've sent i should stay away from?
If you can build it yourself, then yes
i can't build myself, when i got mine built i had a friend come over.
Otherwise, it's perfectly usable
I personally still rock a pretty weak laptop beside my pc, and I can do everything on it beside AI stuff, which is what my pc are for
Better than the 1350$ one in the cpu department, but that's it
i don't need anything crazy just want stuff to run games smoothly
@worthy cave if you had to choose out of the 3 that i've sent what one would you choose?
it's a weird one
got strengths in some areas
but weird weaknesses (psu, gpu)
jolly would you mind if i keep sending ones through?
and you can give me a rating on them 🙂
please man
yeah
legend man!
but if there's someone who will build a pc for you that's near, i'd suggest buying these and letting them build it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
yeah i've got no one atm.
nobody on fb market?
nah not here in aus lmao
sad
What game do you play though, and what resolution
What fps would be "smooth" to you
all main stream games, gta, cs, warzone, cod
so you're streaming with it?
stable 144 without massive frame drops
depends really. more than likely no but thats not my focus atm
try looking at radeon ones too then
What resolution though, 1080p, 1440p, 4k?
1080
Welp if it's 1080p it's way more than enough
1,275USD for this build.
@nimble crescent
@worthy cave
thanks so much for helping aswell guys!
no i'll look for another
It's ok, but yeah psu kinda sus
It probably works just fine though
Cpu, mobo,and all the fan probably eat at at best 200w total
Gpu is another 250w
so it suits? right?
are the specs good on that build?
@nimble crescent
lmk if you dont want me to @ you
so out of the ones i've sent what would you say is best for valve?
do you have a jw near you at all
jw?
yes
just don't know anything bout pcs
so even the parts go over my head
would it be best to buy pre built of jw?
you can custom select parts
@nimble crescent 1,270USD for that build ^
Budget is around that 1.5k - 1.6k USD
jolly appreciate you man!!!
aw, looks like i can't
but go to the custom built-to-order
and grab these parts
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Mobo: GIGABYTE B650M GAMING X AX V2
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32gb DDR4-6000 CL30
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT Gaming OC 16gb
SSD: PNY CS2340 2TB M.2-2280 NVMe gen4x4
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 620S
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 40 3FS MicroATX
PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5
@pale sentinel
the x works too
but yeah this will all work
and it's for a pretty good price too
@pale sentinel
yooo
man you're a legend
the only RBG is the CPU cooler right?
just double checking ^
@nimble crescent
and the case fans
so that would be my best build?
