Got a used desktop and noticed a red switch on the psu. It has two numbers of 115 and 230. It was set to 115 and I haven't touched it because idk what exactly it does.

It switches the input voltage between 115 (USA, Canada, and Japan) and 230 (basically everywhere else).
Old psus have it while new psus automatically detect and switch it
I believe having it on 230 while inputting 115 isn’t terrible, but having it on 115 while inputting 230 will let out all the magic smoke
