he wants performance so prob not go with nvidia
AMD is better price to performance for a budget of 1k
its also worth it getting an better cpu since ur gpu doesnt have to be to beefy for 1080p
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, Radeon RX 7700 XT, Deepcool MATREXX 40 MicroATX Mini Tower
if you have a few extra bucks to spend tho id reccomend getting a little better PSU, and an case with more fans
you might have to downgrade to a 5 7500f or 5 7600 to stay in budget
still solid cpus tho
streaming
nvidia has an edge for encoding
also, deepcool is still cooked in the us rn
are x3ds that much worse for streaming?
otherwise a 5700x3d would be cheaper, more powerful and u save some more money with mobo + RAM
true but youll be stuck with an am4 board
with a 5700x3d that is just marginally slower than even the 9800x3d i wouldnt midn that at all, even tho am5 will last until 2027, its very likely u can skip it altogether
provided, thats a bit gambling that the followup or competitors have good platforms, but by the time that CPU isnt enough, am5 boards and ddr5 will be a LOT cheaper
and with all the money u save right now while getting much much more performance, i'd be more than willing to take that fairly minor gamble.
damn bro now ur making me hesitate on my own new build
i wanted to go 5 7500f but now i might go 7 5700x3d
tbh is the 7 5700x3d really more powerfull then even an 5 7600x
im watching some benchmarks rn and 5 7600x is getting better scores for most games
it is cheaper tho bruh now im back to square 1
7600x is on am5 if i am not mistaken aka its a better platform to go onto, my advice is to go am5 if you want to future proof your pc
but if i go am4 5 5700x3d i might be able to skip am5
so what do i do then?? lol
true but you said 7600x is cheaper
am4 is cheaper then am5
yeh true
.
tbh its ur own choice
im also not sure now
i save like 30 bucks
i dont know man xd
Im gonna go with am5
I just want to be on the new platform
For more fps per dollar go am4
both options are fine.
with a 5700x3d and AM4 you will be cheaper right now, a lot actually, about 200-250 bucks depending on the exact components.
u will also get more FPS and dont need that big of a PSU, which might also save 10-20 bucks more, but lets ignore that.
The plan here is to skip AM5 and buil a whole new PC in 4-7 years. (its always tough to predict the future)
and the saved money can either go into your next PC, or u just have it if sth in ur life goes wrong.
with a 7600x or similar and AM5 u will have to spend more right now. u will have less FPS, the only thing going for u is the RAM speed, which doesnt matter, since ur CPU will be worse than the 5700x3d while the ram on am5 is double the price.
the plan here is to get a solid build that might be 10-20 FPS lower than the other, but when prices of those 7800x3d, 9800x3d etc drop or maybe they release a 7700x3d or 9700x3d for 250-300 bucks u get that in a few years.
by the time u upgrade, this PC will be better, but u will also have spent 400-700 bucks more on it and have to sell your old CPU.
now this one will be faster and take advantage of the RAM speed, although that doesnt impact performance that much.
another thing is, with am4 a 500W PSU will be enough, if u go with AM5 u will be better off getting a 600 or maybe even 650W PSU.
that 500W definitely wont be enough once u get ur PC after this one, but the 6X0W might be. but this is much more speculative, so dont bank on this.
how do u only save 30 bucks with am4 over am5?
7500f?
yeah
b550 = 100, b650 = 120,
7 5700x3d = 180, 5 7500f = 150
ram = 70 - 115
idk i might save more on am4 but still i want am5
wtf are those prices that s totally different than where i live xD
also, what features of b550 are important to u?
but 7500f is also what i would go with if i were to build am5, u know ur going to get an x3d in the next few years anyway so spending extra for a very temporary CPU seems really ineffective
at that point u might as well go with a 7800x but at that point ur not upgrading on am5 anymore nad can go with the 5700x3d again xD
i mean am4 prob would be better price to performance for me but i just want am5 it makes me happier
yeah i just want the newest platform
i got an amazing deal on a 4070 but im still second guessing myself just bc its nvidia and wouldnt i be happier if i went with an AMD card
do you need the extra functions nvidia has to offer
no
encoder rtx dlss etc
but it was a 480€ deal when it was around 600€ usually
i mean in my country 4070 is the same price as 7800xt
was in march this year
still there were below 500€ amd cards that would have been better i think
if just there was like a 7800 GRE
so excited for the 7650 GRE
7700xt is very good
when is it coming
should be CES idk right now
im so excited im litterly gonna order like right now
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 7700 XT, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
any thought or tips?
but im not gonna recommend anything but 5700x3d and 7650 GRE or 7900 GRE afterwards xD
lets hope the 7650 gre has more then 8 gigs vram, thats the reason i skipped the 7600 immediatly
iirc there will be a 8 and 12 gig version which is at least awkward
not getting 16 gigs when new games are developed around 16 definitely isnt satisfying
i guess u insist on AiO cooling and b650?
patriot p310 woould be a much cheaper nvme, u almost get the 2tb version
is it fast tho?
are u transferring data from 1 drive to another constantly?
no maybe on occasion but not regulary
then u shouldnt even ask that question
Netherlands
ah ok, thought ur US sine u made the pcpp US 😄
wait maybe it does get sold
u got any NL price comparison websites for me?
tweakers is pretty dang good
got it
btw the sn850 is 78 euros for me
few days ago had to go through a website in brazilian portugese bc even google translate refused to work xD
these are the cheapest 2tb nvme drives
btw it might be worth noting im stripping 1.2tbs out of my current pc and a 1tb hardrive so with a new m.2 i have 1tb m.2, 1.2tb ssd sata and 1 1tb 7200rpm
all depends on needs.
for me that would be way too much, for others thats way too little
really only u know if u need 2 tb
but just go with the cheapest
unless ur a content creator that also has gigabit internet
writing and reading speed doesnt matter bc ur always boudn otherwise
we are thinking of upgrading to 1 gigabit
even then, are u downloading the entire day?
nope
but
i do want to start content creation
since i have some connections with a lot of subs i think i can make it work
people with a lot of subs*
alr so i should go 1tb cheapest nvme drive
yep thats the kingston
if ur downloading a terabyte at drive speed that would be les sthan 2 minutes
but honestly, ur CPU cant even process a download that fast
most CPUs cant
neither does the internet speed
so even if ur transferring fro manother NVME drive, u wont even make use of the drive speed
yeah rn im bound 100 mbit anyway but im trying to convince my paps into upgrading since it aint that much more per month
the other thing that matters is read speed, which also doesnt really matter, bc u dont need data from ur drive directly in ur CPU, thats why u have ram
and the ram prepares all the data u might need in ur cpu
lass than 0.1% of data if any is needed and even then it doesnt give u better fps
but at most u have slightly faster load speeds by like 2 frames
within a level, zone, area or sth, all the data is already in the ram
alr kingston it is
other things u can save money on is going with an a 620, a CPU fan instead of AiO and holy shit u dont need a 850w PSU 😄
that one will even draw more power as PSUs are most effective at high loads
isnt an a620 like not overclockable and stuff
i do want an AiO tho
also what psu and cable extensions would you reccomend
arctic freezer 36, thermalright assassin, thermalright peerless assassin for cpu cooler then
all those are dirt cheap and will cool any am5 cpu currently on the market
most likely any that will be released
Thermalright aqua elite v3 is also very cheap
or are the ones u listed better performers
doesnt matter, ur cpu has a temperaturelimit, most amd CPUS have 95°C
lower temps dont lead to better performance or longer lifespan
also ur room wont heat up more, since the temperature is just somewhere else
the wattage determines the temperature thats going into ur room, not the CPU temp
y thats the next thing, even if it would, half of the year u would want that
😄
true xd
with PSUs, unless u have everything in your head (which almost noone does)
but i think the thermalright aqua elite will work fine for me it its only 65 euros and it looks good
here comes the great process of PSU chosing
this list is kinda annoying for EU tho half doesnt get sold
do you think c tier is sufficient?
uhh do you really think 600w is enough?
600 B tier then
and no need to upgrade
when u get better cpu/gpu
btw for a620 its just CPU OC thats disabled, u can still OC memory
and so far, overclocking with x3ds isnt really a thing either
the 7950x3d is the first one iirc
70
euro
definitely solid
gigabyte aorus was 90
unless a PSU expert spawns in here, i wouldnt make the effort of going through tierlists to save 5 bucks
also shouldnt we make a seperate thread anyway, we're kinda stealing OPs post xD
not the same country, not the same specs, DEFINITELY not the same PSU xD
thats true xd
sry OP for stealing ur post, sent u this earlier ↑
y'all are fucking genious
thank y'all
