At the time of posting I just installed two new sticks of Patriot Viper DDR4 UDIMM 16GB 4000MHz into my MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard and selected XMP but when my PC booted into windows it's only showing up as 2400MHz sticks, what do I do?

Take out the two old sticks
They probably just defaulted back to whatever all four support reliably

You say all four are same model?
Either way, take out the two old sticks, see if that fixes it
It's possible the model specs got slightly changed over the time you bought them

... I just looked in the board explorer, my first two sticks are showing up as C20 series and the new ones are not, they aren't compatible are they
