Hi, I currently run a RTX 2080 Super with 16gbs of ddr4 ram. I also have a i7-8086k, and I want to upgrade my PC to a bit newer specs. I got some recommendations, but I'm unsure if these are good options for me, so I can play Bo6, CS2, and the newer games. I got recommended to upgrade to these components: i5-14600K, Thermalright Peerless Assasin 120 cooler, ASUS TUF Gaming B760-Plus, and 32GBs of DDR5 5600mhz. Is this a good option to upgrade to?

go AM5
got a really good deal on the intel one though
The real question is
Is your current computer that dogshit?
unless you're actually struggling, you're fine (only upgrade i'd recommend with your current config is 32gb ddr4 and a 30-series card, but they're both optional)
It isn't, but im noticing some hitching and a few lag spikes when I play newer games, I also get stutters etc. when im playing with Discord and Steelseries GG open, so I want to upgrade my memory and processor because it's not as good as it used to be
but no it isnt that shit
Tbh
Most of this sounds like just Windows rot
Tried reinstalling or upgrading to 11 yet?
I use windows 11 and have already reset a few times before yeah
the 8700k is still a reasonably capable processor, this seems like a ram issue
i'd suggest upgrading to 32gb first
8086k* but yeah it was decent
it's the same die, 8086k just has a higher max clock
alright, but the i5-14600k is a lot better right?
i5-14600k has almost no upgrade path.
im sure he knows
