#New Build Pc doesent Boot in Bios Shows Yellow Light
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
well apparently those are the lights indicating a RAM problem. I would try reseatting your RAM. And even just putting one RAM stick in and trying different slots
how would u know
which one of those is lit
looks like the second which would be in fact dram
the manual says the yellow light is for RAM
asus sometimes add one light which indicates that the mobo gets powered (yellow too)
xD
Tried it already
Removed also one RAM Stick
and when you turn it on all the fans are spinning and everything
it's just the CPU cooler that's there, but yes it's spinning
can u try the ram in each slot and then proceed with the next ram stick
in between wait about 5 min
Tried already
ram training
I try it with 5 min Pause
did u try both singualary in each slot?
Yes

can u recheck ur atx12v connection then
it has to be fully in
hard to see in ur mini case
I have already tried so much that I think the mainboard is broken
is there no air between the 24pin and the plug?
Yes, I thought so too, but otherwise nothing would turn on the mainboard even if it wasn't getting any power
the motherboard only pulls power out of the 24 pin to work
the cpu and ram from the atx12v
the 24pin can be a bit lifted which would lead to something like this too
I mean like there is air
yeah that doesnt matter
just make sure it is 100% no air fully seated
as well as the atx12v
in psu as well as in the motherboard
how exactly I didn't quite understand what had to be done
Do you mean that the connections are 100% in?
push it until theres no air between the plug and the connector
i want them to be 100% in
wait what GPU do you have? the board doesn't have integrated graphics I don't think
shouldnt display dram then
I press in again hardly
There is no GPU yet
use a flashlight and make sure by looking at it
Do you think it's because of that?
i would ask afor a angeled picture but i think u dont have enough space
Bc the Board doesent have Integrated Graphics
no this shouldnt happen it would display the vga light
I am looking to see if your board has integrated graphics or not. If it does not then yes that would be the problem
the cpu nowadays has the integrated igpu
only intel CPUs, not AMD CPUs
still not dram
yes?
all ddr5 cpus of amd
without an f
and ddr4 every cpu with an g
5600g
3200g
they started at ddr5 to name it like intel does
oh wow I did not know that
i dont even know why tbh xD
just remember ddr4 used a g (in most cases) and ddr5 is like intel
anyways he does have an igpu
my guess would be that the atx12v is loose
So i did Push it harder
Still didnt work
psuh this as hard as u can too
There is also no air between the connection in the PSU
That's as far in as it goes
can u check these ones
honestly at this point I would just take it out of the case and do a test bench. Basically just build it outside the case only including what is neccesary. It is possible that the pins on the back of your motherboard are touching your metal case and messing something up. Also could be some other installation error, which would most likely be fixed if you just build it again outside and test it
Maybe you will recognize more on a Video
It took too long to get everything in there now remove everything ðŸ˜
Didn't think that this would be such a problem
not if its proper connected
Do you think they are blocked by this?
blocked by what
u did connect em after u screwed the motherboard in right?
or did u first connect and then screwed it in
i think it blocked u from connecting it proper yes
but i dont think it blockes it from being proper connected if that makes sense
I don't remember. It was hard to get it all in. I think I did and then I had to reconnect some of it because it didn't fit into the case because of the cable mess
I starting to hate itx
Do you think the cable is not in properly?
Understand
why everything is so exhausting
I'll try it right away to see if that was the cause
🫡
But thats the CPU Fan
no
You mean that
or am I stupid?
ah now I understand you want me to remove it so that you can see the LEDs
Alright
completely plugged in
I did now
It made a click sound
I reconnected both now
Both made that click sound
@nocturne forge still yellow

so u tried ram nr1 in slot nr1 and slot nr 2
then moved on with ram nr2 and tried slot nr1 and slot nr2 right?
Yes
Tried Both in every Slot
And Did also Single one boot for every of them
I have also tried BIOS with USB stick but somehow nothing works
u flashbacked?
Links to guides on how to perform BIOS flashback
-
Few notes about the flashback process
-
Make sure to download the latest (NOT beta) BIOS for your EXACT model of motherboard
-
it can have different names : Flash BIOS Button, Q-Flash, BIOS Flashback
-
BIOS Flashback requires only the 24 and 8pin power connector to be plugged in but you can do it on a fully built PC too, no need to remove any components
-
If the LED stops blinking after a short time (~10s), something went wrong
-
DO NOT power on the pc first, it is OFF when you press the button
-
The button does not have to be near the back IO, it can also be at the bottom of the motherboard (Gigabyte)
For like 3sec
like this?
thats an error
Error?
read what i sent
There is like no led
In the Back
For this Mainboard
But yes
I tried this Step 1:1
Didnt saw this one
.
this quick?
Tried it like an Hour ago
Before that I searched for the error online and only found that you have to replace components and it only worked because of that
I haven't found a fix for it other than changing RAM, BIOS updates, CMOS reset
More did not work and BIOS somehow does not work and CMOS no idea how I should reset it every video says something different
cmos is easy
wait
Resetting Desktop CMOS
Clear CMOS
- Shut the Desktop down, switch off the power supply, and unplug the power cable.
- Locate the CMOS battery on your motherboard, you're looking for a CR2032 button cell battery, normally near, or underneath the GPU.
- Remove the battery from the motherboard by pushing the tab aside, Avoid using any metallic tools for this.
- Now hold the power button down for about 10-15 seconds.
- Reinsert the CMOS battery, and then boot the computer like normal.

Sometimes you may find you'll need to reset bios/CMOS, so this video will show you the different ways of doing it even if you have an older motherboard or a newer one. Traditionally the way to reset bios/CMOS was to adjust the included jumper along the CMOS pins on the motherboard.
If you...
either that in the cideo
( i dont like )
or physically taking out the battery
( i like)
when u short u dont know if it worked when u take out the battery u cant have messed it up
Didnt found the battery
On the Mainboard
I searched like in the Instruction manuel but There is no Information about that
nr 14
unplug it lol
its plugged in cause itx
thats a weird way to save space
just like a laptop
Honestly, I bought this thing because my laptop broke down and it wasn't worth repairing it
have seen the problem seems to occur more often
dram lights are the most of the troubleshooting issues from what ive experienced
Understand what was the most common solution
well the things we tried
I try it tomorrow again
Id this doesent work
IG i Buy a New Mainboard
Tbh i Think ASUS have Problems with the RAM
Otherwise i dont know
it might be the ram or the slot
I am not completely done with u lol I need sleep and then I'll tell you what u can try
Alright same
@nocturne forge
So I did the BIOS update correctly this time. There is picture now.
It was due to the CPU the X series is not recognized by the mainboard because of the old system
So the flash worked? :p
