#Windows 11 -> Windows 10 OEM
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I believe your laptop would have had to come with whatever Microsoft calls "downgrade rights" these days. Not sure why you'd want Windows 10 anyway given it reaches end of life (aka end of support and/or security updates) in less than 1 year.
any way to check if i have that?
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop, or check your itemized bill of sale. OEM's like Dell, Lenovo, and HP usually include this as a line-item on sales receipts for business purchases. Consumer purchases usually don't get things like "downgrade rights" or other business-related features.
will looking for that i found a different issue
HP only has w11 drivers
also hp doesn't have downgrade rights included but people say it still works
I don't see how no Win 10 drivers is an issue. If this is a new laptop, it doesn't make sense for manufacturers to provide drivers for older operating systems, especially one's that are end of life.
Not true. A single developer said that. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/what-happened-to-the-last-version-of-windows/e969d870-5013-484f-8476-6ea5d0446182

Whats the name... of your CPU?..
Then no need to use...windows 10..
Windows 11 is recommended for intel..12th gen and higher!...
is there a guide on how to solder in a i5 11th gen?
Huh?..
Just curious...why..windows 10?..
i reinstall windows every 4-6 months
might as well install the better one when i'm doing it
(i use windows 10 on a different pc and like it better)
but this laptop is my main
Windows 11 may have some bugs...just like win10 did...in the early days..
The difference in performance..is minimal...
UI is better
80% of my w11 start menu is empty
it's got square stuff
don't need to worry about any annoying updates
i'll try linux again but last time i had issues with the keyboard backlight not working
and fan control was weird
If you're not installing updates, I recommend not connecting the computer to the internet. The number of zero day exploits these days is not 0, so security updates are important.
I am not against installing updates
updates on windows 10 are mostly security
