My pc had corrupted files so they wouldn’t let me wipe or anything so I plugged in a Media tool windows wiped all the dryers downloaded windows on the drive and it would just boot loop when I leave the USP it would say window install if I take it out, it would say reboot an instant proper boot device. Have tried everything on my head and also was on the call with tech 2 Microsoft support.
#Boot loop

I would try to get the windows installation via an ISO on Microsoft’s website if you haven’t already, haven’t heard much reliability coming from their media creation tool.
Once you have the ISO, use a tool such as Rufus to put the ISO onto a USB flash drive, making sure you are using the GPT file system.
Try it out from there
I did that
I have the aorus gigabyte b650 elite ax Ice
I did also update my bios
Also switched to Intel to AMD
Are we sure this is from the windows boot device? It’s trying to find something off your network efi
Also it says Intel and I have AMD
are you still online?..
ping me..when you are online again...
Yes
@proper fractal
Just change legacy to uefi and other way around and nothing
how did you prepare this..usb?..using which app?
I used my brother Microsoft surface formatted the usb used windows media tool did the install windows
your bios supports both uefi and legacy mode...thats the cause of the issue...
completely ..disable.. CSM (legacy mode).. and stick to uefi only..
screenshot the boot order...
dont worry...those settings do not affect...the UEFI mode..
disable CSM...
Ok it’s off
save bios settings...and restart..and boot back to bios..and screenshot boot order..
were you able to install...windows?
boot into usb...and screenshot partitions step
screenshot the drives...
this is old or new screesnshot?..
Now
delete all partitions... then open cmd...type diskpart...
disk 2.. i assume.. type sel disk 2.. then type clean
type convert gpt... and check what you see?..
exit cmd... click.. "refresh".. then click new..
i thought i told you to disable cSM?..
proceed...with next...
Also should I take out usb when screen turn black
and if it doesnt boot... then screenshot boot order in bios..
keep the usb...for now
after restart?..
Yes
@lunar vapor
press enter..on boot option 1..and screenshot...
Just the usb and disable
how many drives... connected right now?
they are disconnected...right now?
Yes
switch to easy mode..and check if the drive is detected...
Yes
then boot to usb...and we will try to make a manual efi partition...
and somehow...try to make the bios...recognize the boot partition...
open cmd... and diskpart...
Ok what’s next
type sel disk 2 again...then type... create partition efi
type.. list vol
sel vol 2.. then type format fs=fat32... then type assign letter=K
type exit.. then type
bcdboot D:\Windows /s K: /f UEFI
there is space ...yep!
your keyboard...should have both slashes..
Where the other one at
look again....
space before /s ... and same for /f
screenshot
kindly dont press enter...screenshot before you execute command
K: (space) /f
enter
Sincerely created
now..restart...and boot into bios..check if any boot device detected
there can be one of the possibilities...
your bios settings are messed up...
your drive is corrupted...
your usb drive is corrupted....
What should I do
is there a storage section?..
in the bios?
advanced mode?
Ok
boot into USB...and wipe the drive again... then open CMD and use diskpart to make 9 GB ntfs primary partition..
Wipe is delete right
yep!
leave bios ..
type .... create partition primary size=10000
Done
type ..list part..then select 10GB partition.. type assign letter=K... then type... format fs=NTFS quick
@lunar vapor
no.. sel part 1
list vol
type exit... then type xcopy C: K: /e /h /k
space before.. all of them
enter
wait till it finishes...
shut down your pc...unplug the usb... and start your pc...without usb plugged in
Goes to bios
issue with the drive... do you have another drive...you can test?
wdym 3.5 60 GB?..
At sata 60gb ssd
any drive..that is empty...and you can install windows for testing?..
They both wiped
try wd blue.. HDD..
there is no 3.5 inch SSD..
proceed..
unplug that nvme..
wipe it.. convert to GPT..and just click next
again?..
wdym?..
if both drives having the same issue...then it must be the bios
did you test with CSM enabled?..
either usb or bios issue...
@lunar vapor let me know what you have tried later...on...
You can recreate the bootable usb...
I just exchanged everything and same problem made a new usb device and nothing
@proper fractal
I will check...online.. If this board..has any issue or complaints
@lunar vapor were you able to get this working?...
