#What CPU for RX 7800XT that costs under 250$?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Your country?
germany
you still need the rest of the pc
your budgeting the pc that way aren't you
cuz my old pc uses gtx 1080 and i7 4790k
nope
what is the total budget?
i only wanna spend 900$ i didnt find anything. i only guranteed want to have the rx 7800xt
You shouldn’t really budget like that in a build. Aim for a nice and balanced build that’s decently good all-around.
the gpu for me is only 480€
In terms of CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.
im sure i dont want a cpu that costs almost the same as my gpu
the issue is a 12100f is good enough to do a 4090, but its up to what you want to do with the pc and res
i already have a pc case, fans and liquid cooler
the cooler is not compatible
Make a PCPP list. Plug in what you’re wanting to move over from your old build and set them to purchased/0€
Choose Your Parts
the stock fan with a 7600 is more then good enugh
i dont know all my old parts
😭
im 15 and my dad gave me this pc like 6 years ago
what is the PSU?
thats the only thing i do not know
im also going to buy a new psu
750w
So… a new 900 euro build from scratch?
lemme see
lemme fill it in
can yall tell me what cpu to get for my rx 7800xt that is 250$ max??
so i can fill it in
i just want to know which cpu
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
oh
That’s not within the 900 limit. He’s going to have to cut down elsewhere. You also don’t know if he’s got a mATX case or not.
but its not worth using less then this on a new pc at least not at this price point
my pc case is miditower
im just going with that case as he can sell the entire computer
Do you know your motherboard?
tbh its more worth it to just sell the entire old pc and then go for the one in the list
its a 4th gen one
yeah my cpu is i7 4790k i got an old ass motherboard
yup
might be able to go under if we use the case and PSU
im sure my psu is ass because my pc randomly crashes in games
xd
thats not how it works
u sure?
my cpu is not broken or my gpu. i even did some benchmarks
i dont remember lol
did only do it once?
it happened like 14 times
i have that since some months
it didnt have it a year ago
probs a dying boot drive
nah im sure its fine
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Radeon RX 7800 XT
is this good
i already have the rest
Dude, you’re better off going AM5 and cutting down on your GPU
Just as a long term thing
that cpu is the best one you can get for gaming on am4 and its about the same performance as the 7600 in my list
im not tryna go futureproof
also
i know
why should i cut down my gpu
the gpu is great at its price
am4 is on its last leg and now has the best cpues that will come to it, and one of the worst cpues on am5 is dam close to it in performance
beats the 4070 without raytracing
do you think am5 is very important?
well im on am5
so yes
am4 still has its place
but only if you go used
i dont wanna buy used stuff
i never got a very new pc
and i wanna exprience it once
am5 is only good if you tryna upgrade soon right? @supple dirge
nope
The thing with am4 is that if you get a top of the line AM4 system, the only real meaningful upgrade is by investing more into a platform change.
am5 has the best cpu you can get for gaming and the best consumer cpu for most workstation tasks
If you buy AM5 now, sure your gaming performance won’t exactly be the same, but you have room to upgrade to higher performing parts in the future, and it’ll cost less as well long term.
i would go am5 but that means i have to spend more on the ram
So you should cut down, get a 7700xt. That’s plenty of performance.
ok yall changed my mind
actually
im increasing my budget
to 1.1k
btw are you at 1080p?
yep but i want a overkill gpu so it can last long
im looking most at performance
tbh this list might be best, and just do not buy the psu and case
is there maybe a little better cpu than the 7600 there
i would spend mostly 250-300 for a cpu
is 7700x good?
its 289
its about the same in gaming performance
if you try wish to then why not, core scalling aint great with am5 so goin with more cores dose not give a big increase in fps
and what about 7600x
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 100 ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
Getting a 7700/7700x wont net you very much in gaming performance. Only a select few games give you a “noticable” difference.
x and non x performance is like 1-2%
that looks great
but thats a finished pc
i dont really need a pc case
hmm
actually
i think
thats perfect
i might buy it like that
why cl36?
Because if I went CL30, that’s over 1.1k euros. CL30 to CL36 barely translates into a meaningful gaming difference.
it dose show meaningful differences when you consider its 20€
no wait
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/Bfckvj is that good (and yes i know i picked 7600x and not 7600)
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7800 XT
anyways this is my take on the build
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 100 ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
A amd mobos are pretty bad
nv2 is a known problematic nvme drive
ohh
i say go with this list, its within budget and its easy to upgrade
ok
i will
now i have to save up 6 months lol
with a good storage drive and ram it will only really need more storage once you start to downloads and use the pc and then ofc a new cpu or gpu but the pc is more then fine and is pretty darn powerfull as it is
ffs
what does ffs mean
for f (bad word) sake
oh yeah
aka we have a bit too many who want a list now but will build it in like you half a year or sometimes 1-2 years
once their is new hardwear and prices are lower
im actually really patient
do you think its bad to make a list before you buy a pc for like some months?
well atleast ive learned something
yeah
then i will get 7800x3d if it gets to 300€ (its 450€ rn for me)
yeah the 7800X3D is very over hyped
alright thanks for helping
