Check the 24 pin cable and the CPU power cable
They are firmly attached
It turns off faster every time
- Specs
- what have you tried
5 3600
1660 super msi
16gb 2x 3200mhz ripjaws
Gigabyte b450m pro r2.0
Cx600m
1tb m.2 from fanxiang sp610
I have tried, Putting all cables out and in, putting in ram in different slots and keeping 1 in, removing ssd, only keeping mobo and cpu in, also i tried resetting bios with the battery but i think i did that incorrectly
to reset the bios using the battery
- unplug the psu and then hold the power button down to drain the capacitors
- remove the battery for 10 seconds
- replace the battery
- power on the pc again
Thanks i will try this tomorrow i have building/trying to fix the pc since 5 hours ago so im drained.
Also open for any other things i could try if resetting the bios doesnt work that i could try tomorrow but i am gonna sleep now good night
The pc will keep staying on if i unplug the cpu
Is this a cpu issue or a mobo issue?
Did you try putting the CPU cable back in now?
Yes and it will shut down after a few seconds aigan
What could i try i dont have a spare amd mobo or amd cpu
Can also be something as simple as a sata cable not being fully attached
I use an m.2 ssd that doesnt require any sata cables right?
Im gonna try putting in the cpu aigan and cleaning everything checking the pins etc
If the CPU was the issue the CPU debug light would be on
Could it be the motherboard needs a bios update?
Maybe try individual ram sticks
Already tried
Is this possible with the 5 3600 and the b450m pro r2.0
Mobo and cpu are both used
How do i update it thoðŸ˜
I got no spare 1k or 2k series
Unless it has bios flashback, you can’t
I highly doubt updating the bios would fix it
Try booting with only 1 stick of ram, try each one
Maybe one is faulty
Did that
I guess you can check if you have any bent pins
