well last amd generation support was 8 years for am4 aka you could have bought a motherboard for am4 in 2016 and use it for a cpu from 2024, and now with am5 they say it will be 2027+

no problem, i like to advice people based on what they have and what they do and for you its best to just optimize the pc and keep using it for a short while longer and then get cheap or better parts then what you can get now.
