NO
That very very bad
Psu is bomb tier, a 4 core cpu that has the reported performance of a modern day e core, a h110 chipset foe the mobo with locks the pc to pcie 2.0.
In short, it's not worth more then like 300-400aud on a very good day.
Just too many issues to even be bothered to try and fix.
If it's not on the Windows 11 compatibility list, don't buy it in 2024
I say it's up to where its priced, like a i7 6700 or so system for like 200usd with a ok gpu i say can be worth it but it's more up to what it is priced at.
What should I look for around the $6-700 range?
honestly seems worse, psu not mentioned, ssd and hd not mentioned either
does this seem good? https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/wFDkGP
I have found a 3060ti and mobo combo on marketplace for cheap
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5500, Antec NX200M MicroATX Mid Tower
@inner edge
the 5500 is worse then a 5 3600
aka the r5 5500 is trash
aka aka go for a r5 5600
did you make this list?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Antec NX200M MicroATX Mid Tower
yes I made it
ok good as the p3 is pure trash and almost as fast as the HDD in it
ok, do you have any recs for budget boot drives?
btw, how big is your budget for the pcpartpicker parts?
650 at absolute most but would like it to be around 450, pc is for a 10yo
yeah, I think one would likely be enough, gpu has own cooler and the 5600 isn't exactly a thermal monster
Aorus B550 Elite AX V2, top slot is kinda borked but does have two more
well the cpu also needs its own cooler
doesn't the 5600 include one?
yeah
just wanted to make sure, as the gpu cooler unless its a blower style will just throw all the heat into the case
this one?
true but I don't think that would be massive prob under regular workloads
looks right
did he damage the top metal slot?
can i get a picture of the motherboard
yeah, top clip is broken off
worst case I could likely use a diff slot
thats not damaged
its just missing a clip
its super common on people who have not taken apart computers before
i did have to ask as you put a M-ATX case in the list for the mother board that is ATX
Choose Your Parts
gotta throw the permalink
well i got a list now.

if possible grab a mp44l 2 TB but since the mobo has a extra slot its fine to have a 1TB for now
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
this case looks SO GOOD and it comes with 3 argb fans
thanks, looks good, I do think 1tb is a little low, but considering it's for a 10yo I doubt modern aaa are a priority
Worst case you have a extra slot and a 2TB mp44l is on like 150aud
slight change of plans, the people are happy to spend an extra $200 for all new parts, added gpu and mobo to list, changed psu
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, GeForce RTX 4060, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
