Hi together,

Is just now put together my very first PC. When it comes to booting all the LEDs turn on and fans are spinning, but the DRAM debugging LED is on and it does not post.
Can this be due to memory training of the AM5 chipset? How long does this normally take and is the RAM led on while training?
Or could this be a BIOS compatibility issue? The mainboard manufacturer specifies that my CPU is validated with this motherboard since BIOS 2613.
Or is it something completely different?

Specs:
Mainboard: Asus tuf gaming 650 plus
RAM: Lexar LD5BU016G-R6000GDLA
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
GPU: AMD Radeon 7800XT
Storage: Lexar NM790

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

are you sure your bios is updated?

#

if not ALL am5 motherboards need to have qflash+ aka you can use a usb stick with the bios on it to update the bios

Hi @native delta , Thanks for your answer, that was also a suspiciion of mine. Did try to update it to the latest BIOS with stick but the update process keeps failing. (indicated by led that stays constantly on after blinking for 5secs)... Any ideas why?

yep, followed all the steps. I did run into a weird error message when unzipping the zip file thouh. My file explorer just said there was an error. I am cuirrently trying to get the stick ready with another machine, I am hopoing that helps.
