not to be an ass but he said cheap
we cannot teach piracy
We cannot recommend any unauthorized or third party key sellers.
buy a broken windows laptop to grab the key from
That's also against the rules. OEM keys (the ones that manufacturers usually use when including Windows with a laptop) are legally tied to the original computer they were sold with.
OEM keys cannot legally be swapped between machines once activated. Retail keys can.
well my desktops using my ssd and key from my broken laptop
didnt you buy the key tho? its not like they work if you try to use it on 2 machines
doesn't it brick it or something if it detects a key being used on more than one device?
Technically, you're not buying a key - you're buying a license that happens to use a key as a means of activation. If it's a RETAIL key, it can be moved between machines. If it's an OEM key, it's not "supposed" to be moved between machines, but... I too have had weird situations where an OEM key magically activated without intervention when being swapped to another computer. An OEM license doesn't allow this though.
whats the difference?
