Always ensure you have a backup of important data in case a drive fails on you unexpectedly. As for this BX500 drive, eh, it's likely still got another ~4TB Host Writes in its lifetime before I'd want to replace it out of caution.
But again, assume any data storage device is dying by the second as soon as it leaves the factory. Have a backup in the event of a failure. New drives can be purchased; family photos cannot.

I'm 90% certain the drive in the image in my linked message from 4 years ago is still in use in a friend's family member's computer to this day. It's 12 years old and likely has over 120 TB written to it by now.
