Which GTX 1650? How old is the thermal paste? What happens when you set the games to High?
cpu termal paste is maybe 2 weeks old (like the cpu)
w high settings my fps just gets lower
crashes sometimes, but also crashes with low so ig normal ๐
and idk which 1650
Open Task Manager
it just say nvidia geforce gtx 1650
240hz
Aaah, right
Riiight, it's a 1650
A regular 1650, non Ti, no Super
I would believe it can push medium to high, but while targeting 1080p 60Hz
If you set the graphics to medium or high, does the FPS drop below 60?
yes in some games
not in valorant
but other yes (for high)
for medium idk prob not
ik its weak but should i get that low fps
in valorant i got 120 fps without good cpu (some pentium gold smth)
and i get 150 w i5 10th
Games are GPU bound
You can push a Pentium machine to high FPS with a beefy GPU
valorant is cpu bound game
Valorant is a game
Valorant needs to render stuff
GPU renders stuff
Upgrading CPU won't net much FPS increase
Even in a CPU bound game
So that's why you got that extra 30FPS, but not double FPS
oh alr
@timid hill Check the GPU load in games. If the GPU hits 100%, you are GPU limited.
Lowering video settings would increase framerates.
If the GPU isn't at 100%, you are either CPU bottlenecked or something is wrong.
Doesn't have to be the case necessarily
Logically at least
Yes its always 100% ing
I went to win 11 yesterday and it was a slights increse in performance
In cs2 i get 200 fps min now
For fortnite and other games also
@bold sand Ok, you can then lower video settings until the GPU is no longer at 100%. That let's you see how much FPS the CPU can push. Then you can determine if upgrading the GPU is worth it to you.
i have mostly all graphics settings on lowest
do i lover res?
