#PC Part List Guidance. AUD$4000 budget.

it has one extra heat pipe and slightly improves performance while also somehow being cheaper
any reason for the 4tb ssd?
depending on needs could save a little and go for an ironwolf
yea if he does it’s fine i’m jus saying
if he’s let’s say gonna store a large amount of files that he’s gonna barely access
When all these games nowadays wanting SSD storage what's the point of an ironwolf anyway
for longevity’s sake an hdd is better
if it’s games then an ssd is better yea
but then
why distinguish a 4tb and 1tb
we aren’t in the old ages of getting an os ssd and a barracuda for games
just keep the 4tb nv2 it’s not a bad ssd
or a 4tb mp44l
Don't think I saw a 4TB 44L
maybe au type shi
Yeah he's an Aussie
it’s available in the us
now I wonder
also idk about how trident performs
we have over 500 spare now of the 4000
compared to t-force
can we go a tier up on the GPU
exactly
I think the aim is RGB at this point
t-force has rgb?
"Man's" a femboy after all, they like that cutesy shit
comes in white black and is still 6000 cl30
has good die selection iirc
i’ve never looked into tridents tho so idk
Yeah I'm not seeing anything
well we aren't going to do 4x16GB
then trident is the best option for a 2.32
ofc ofc
Have heard of channel instabilities in DDR5
quad has been an issue for a while yea best to avoid it
So there's the problem, he says 4000 AUD
Even being reasonable you can't even break 3500-3600
yep same issue in usd
had someone ask me for a 20k build once lmao
usd btw
All I can think to do now is consider stuff that will run in 0db mode
nah don’t bother
If we can't push it anymore
just focus on saving money
you never need to spend more than what’s needed
perhaps an lf3?
idk if the case can fit top mount 360
i know pop air can
Lancool? Definitely
I've got the 2nd gen lancool, things a fucking monster of a case
alr fs fs
yea then maybe add an lf3
more rgb for him
fans prolly daisy chain as well iirc so don’t worry about fan hub
No the ones on the Lian Li case don't, they aren't the unifans you are thinking of
And it costs AUD$15, practically nothing
what no
do you know what lf3 is
No?
liquid freezer 3
Oh, the cooler?
ok I see it now
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower
We're on this now
arctic fans are usually pst
The 7900X3D was only AUD$40 more so why the hell not
idk if the case fans are pst
again i know pop air has pst case fans
i’ve personally worked with the pop air
The front fans are RGB, the rear is a standard fan
yea i mean if the case fans don’t need them just return it no harm in buying it
But I'm sure tha Lancool isn't Unifan stuff
no im not talking about unifans
that’s completely different
i’m saying that cables are chainable
there’s on female side and one male side on one cable
Multiple reddit threads says it's hot garbage
https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/liquid-cooling/arctic-liquid-freezer-iii-aio-review
and there are two cables, a rgb one and a pwm one
huh
i’ll look into it then
either way phantom spirit is a solid and safe pick
no doubting that
https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/liquid-cooling/thermalright-frozen-notte-and-aqua-elite-360-white-v3-review
they are creaming themselves over thermalright though
thermalright deserves all the nut
and that's sub AUD$100
ever since peerless assassin and tl12c
yea but i don’t know how it fares against ps120
better to be safe than sorry
i also don’t like giving green lights on things i’m not sure of
So it's either noise or price/performance

"Acoustically, the water cooler is not a strong performer"
the fuck is Steve on about, it's even quieter than the PA
No brainer then
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower
I think that's it
We really cannot push it any further than that
Somehow the final list is AUD$54 than the starting list
How the fuck
get the 7800x3d instead of a 7900x3d (the 7900x3d is only cheaper because it's a majorly poor seller so they've had to reduce it's price, it also has the issue of poor scheduling when it comes to gaming use) and the nv2 4tb absolutely sucks especially as it's a qlc nand drive the 4tb mp44l is a massively better ssd
