I built a pc recently and got windows 10 on it. My old pc has an m.2 ssd with windows/boot + some important files and programs.
Is there a way to move that ssd to my new pc so that windows is removed from it and only has the important files and programs? So I can use it as a storage drive. And would u be able to keep windows on that old pc as well?

So I just copy all the files onto an external drive and then put the old ssd in the new pc? And then move everything back from the external drive to the ssd? If that makes sense. And would I have to go into bios to change the boot drive?

Oh alright. Idk if ur familiar with fl studio but all of my projects and plugins and stuff are on the drive with windows on it. I’m assuming if it wipes the location of the files, I’d still have to download everything back on the new pc?
