Hello,
I recently had my pc blow up(ik), and am in need to get a parts list together for a new one mainly for music production, video editing, gaming and live streaming, i already have an rtx 4090, and the lian li 011 vision case, i also have ssd's and hard drives with all my files on it that i want to transfer into an nvme m.2 gen 5 but need suggestions for that.

In summary if someone could give me full parts list for the best possible ryzen 9 9950x build inside an 011 vision, (i dont wanna make a custom pipe loop for cooling btw), that would be tons appreciated, also one more thing, i heard a rumour (im not that knowledgable with pc stuff), that using more than two ram sticks can cause speed issues, if this is true please let me know, i idealy want at least 96gb of ram performing at at least 6000 speed.

preferably under 4000$ usd

Well right off the bat there is no rtx 4090ti

#

Also among many other questions, why do you need 96 gigs of ram?

#

Also you don't need custom watercooling it literally affects basically nothing (ok maybe you can overclock slightly higher or have it setup in a way you want but not the point)

And your use case?

sacred pier
#

im using it for being able to stream live at high quality, have high speeds on multiple things running at once

flint sigil
#

...

#

i also do music production which can tax a lot of ram

flint sigil
#

Ok

#

Idk because music production

#

Normally I'd just say ryzen 9 7900x3d but because I'm not sure if amd will be stable or if you benefit from more cores, what will be great

sacred pier
#

i did research on the cpu and 9950x is best

#

i would get 9950x3d but thats not out yet

flint sigil
#

Not for gaming

sacred pier
#

ik

#

for productivity

flint sigil
#

Yeah, x3d is better usually

#

For gaming

#

9950x will take a dip in games

#

But it's not super massive

sacred pier
#

im okay with that, i need something thats better with productivity

#

which is the 9950x

flint sigil
#

Yeah, just check first to see if ryzen plays nicely with your music stuff

#

Actually

#

If you need more power and are willing to risk some more gaming performance you could look at a threadripper

sacred pier
#

thought about that but as stated in my first post in here, ive chosen the 9950x and am happy with the performance as ive done my research on it, i mainly just need help with everything else such as ram, motherboard, case fans and cpu cooler to match the black lian li o11 case

Np, om

#

Oh you are us right?

sacred pier
#

im in au, i just stated the budget in usd (under 4k) as most ppl in here are from us

flint sigil
#

Ok still matters for pcpartpicker

#

Also as for the 2 ram sticks thing, that usually matters for extreme overclocking, it might be different for 6th gen ryzen but I doubt it

sacred pier
#

its just something i heard on ltt or something

#

that if u have like two ram sticks that have a speed above 6000

#

and then lets say u get another kit of that ram

#

that it wont be able to go at the speed that it says it can

#

for example like a kit that has two sticks that are 8000

#

and then u get another kit of the same thing

#

then each stick goes slower than 8000

#

again idk if its true or not

#

thats why i came in here tho to find out if it is cause im not that good with pcs

flint sigil
#

Technically according to amd max supported with 2 is 5600 and with 4 is 3600

#

You can generally ignore that

#

Used to be 2400

#

Used to be 1600 before that

sacred pier
#

hol up

#

so if i have two sticks of ram

#

the max speed they can go is 5600?

flint sigil
#

Officially supported by amd yes

sacred pier
#

that doesnt sound right

flint sigil
#

It's called extreme memory overclocking

#

Or xmp (extreme memory profile) for intel

#

If you buy a kit that's rated for 6000 mt/s you should get 6000 mt/s if you switch on amds xmp mode

#

(I can never remember the name)

#

Basically

#

Have 2 sticks amd says hey if you go over 5600 mt/s were not at fault if it becomes unstable
