I was just playing a video game like 10 minutes ago, and suddenly i hear a noise (that i guess sounded like my game freezing?) and both my monitors turned black, as this happened, my fans spun up insanely fast and i could literally feel and hear wind coming from inside the case lol. so i panicked thinking it was overheating way too fast, and tried just shutting it off by the power button, this didnt work so i panicked more and ended up turning it off by the power outlet.

I touched my graphics card and it didnt seem all that hot maybe like 50 degrees celsius? (my gpu temp a few seconds before this happening) not really a good way to determine if it was overheating but idk.

I dont think my CPU overheating would have caused it either, because i have my fan curves set on msi afterburner, which im pretty sure only scaled with gpu temps.

so what im wondering is, what might have caused this? and is my pc ruined? (probably is)

arctic alpine, i didnt build this pc myself, this is the first time this has happened to me

i mean like i said, i felt the gpu a few times soon after and it didnt feel too hot, but maybe it just cooled way down

idk, ill try booting it back up in a while and see whats what

with furmark, will it stop running automatically if things get too hot ?
