Hey all, I want to buy a new PC, preferably a prebuilt, have a top budget of 5,000. Should I wait for 50 series or continue with a 40 series? I use the computer for flight simulation (P3D, MSFS, XP11/12).

Imo if your looking to buy right now this second get a 7800x3d best CPU for gaming.
If your willing to wait till like February ish can wait for the newer 7800x3d( 9700x3d or 9800x3d we don't know the naming scheme yet) and see the difference in performance. and pretty much same thing for GPU.

Also just my philosophy but you may differ but i don't like to spend to much on useless "looks" most the time people just shove the pc case under the desk or to the side and even best case scenario you put in on your desk and make a display out of it. you will show it off like 20 times and people will love it. then 6 months later you will just walk into your room turn on pc/monitor and just game not give 2 poops about its look lol.

Also with willing to spend $5,000(assuming $) you going to water cool? if you are be aware you should be cleaning it at least once a year there are ways to make it more easy but it really should get that deep clean at least every other year which is not.

Also how much Storage space do you need/want same thing for Ram

I think id rather get a GG gaming pc for like 2-3k and then buy the GG set up for all your games flight controls and chair kinda deal although you may already have that.

#

an other option which i like way better then buying a pre built is going to some place like micro center buy what you need there and just have them build it for you probably much more cheaper that way

#

This is me sparing no expense if i went all out.

To be fair this dose not include Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, speakers or an official copy of windows. as I don't fully know what you need or want. also i dont want RGB, you may want RGB so price will go up a bit.( also case are mostly preference so we/you can chose something more to your needs/tastes let me know ill be more then willing to help out. (for Case i HIGHLY sujest watching a youtuber>>> Gamernexus he has 2 GREAT PC case Videos one for 2023 and 2024. this Channle is one of if not the best channel for the PC tech community that and LTT too but i also really love GamersNexus 🙂

I can always trim up/down the price depending on your needs too.

They stay kinda hot anyways even with a ridiculous 360mm aio

#

Thats why i literally never reccomend an aio for a 7800x3d

#

Theres no point

# fallow geode Its not contradictory, you just arent understanding what im saying

"They stay kinda hot anyways even with a ridiculous 360mm aio"

"Thats why i literally never reccomend an aio for a 7800x3d"

As an air cooler fanboy, even I know AIO's do typically outperform them, if even by only 1-3c at the best of times. So what you are saying makes zero sense. Besides the 7800x3d typically runs cool, and can be cooled by damn near anything.
