Im on an i5 13600k and recently started having more frequent freezes when working on music, I had thoughts about going to AM5 before having these issues and now leaning more toward it. Is it just me that's thinking the worst or is it worth swapping to am5?

Are you able to monitor task manager to see CPU/RAM usage when you're working?

Limited to single monitor as I moved to my gfs afew weeks back and dont have the room for my whole setup

#

But usually it's just FL Studio open with discord and opera

#

I got 32GB ram so that shouldnt be an issue

I would 100% monitor and see if you're using a crap ton of CPU usage

In the software of course

#

I had no issues before but recently it was super bad like I'd hsve to reset my pc fully as the system would run at whst felt less than 1fps

Like software crashes or full computer crashes

Does it max out the RAM at all?

#

Not that I've seen no, just cpu

Bro only the i7 and i9 13th and 14th gen CPUs were experiencing instability issues.....

#

I don't think what you are experiencing is due to instabilities as u have an i5

Yeah I mean I knew i5 wasn't effected but was just wondering what's actually causing it because there's people with worse spec than me doing the same shot thst don't get these issues

That is just the warranty update…. There is no complete evidence that those cpus have “instability” issues
