Looking to buy a gaming pc for an apartment. I am looking for intel/nvidia. I dont have much experiance with parts if someone could help me out

#

Or even a prebuilt pc

and you could get a 7900xtx for $60 less

odd tangle
#

Nice

brittle meteor
#

is the 7900xtx really that much faster? i was under the impression they were basically equal

#

@rocky dove do you want matx for a smaller size or is atx good?

I don’t know many tech terms so I’m not sure what that is

#

Is Intel that much worse?

#

their 13th/14th gen cpus have catastrophic voltage problems

#

and there's no upgrade path at all on lga 1700

#

am5 is gonna be 2027+

Should I trend toward 64 gb of ram

#

Or is that kinda overkill

#

Or for under 2k, is it hard to get 64

I assume I’ll get some good frames on like eldan ring for example

brittle meteor
#

this thing will crush 1440p gaming

rocky dove
#

Bet

brittle meteor
#

could spring for a 1000w psu if you want, but not necessary

#

in their specifics list, its like 2 fps in 1440p

#

either way, $60 is $60

You think it’s worth upgrading to a Ryzen 9 instead of 7? Or not needed unless I’m trying to go overkill

brittle meteor
#

the 7800x3d is the fastest gaming cpu money can buy right now

rocky dove
#

Okay

#

Preciate this sm

brittle meteor
#

if you need to do other things like video editing and need more cpu power, a non-x3d cpu would probably not bottleneck the 7900xtx at 1440p

#

but it would depend on the game

#

if this is just for gaming though, the 7800x3d is a no-brainer

What’s wrong with it
