So I tried installing ubuntu yesterday but I didn’t like it and wanted to get back to w11, turns out with ubuntu I had deleted the w11 os in folder and now there’s only ubuntu, tried installing w11 thru usb but that didn’t work as it lead to that ( see picture below ). And now after multiple resets, disconnecting the hdd and disabling csm support it for some reason boots up, fans go full speed and then it power off and a second later powers on again and fans go full speed. WHAT DO I DO ? should I just buy a new ssd? Could this have fucked my whole pc ?

crazy
have never seen that
if you dont have any crazy configs in your bios, reset it and retry
was your secure boot on?
it should be on for windows
doesnt matter that much anyway
Could it be solved if I just got a new ssd ?
no need
there is a way to fix this
while yes windows failed to reboot that doesnt mean windows wasnt sucessful in installing
there is a way to skip the next phase
does the bios say no os found
It doesn’t say that
I just can’t get past the step
I’ve got the install on an external hard drive and that’s all
wait what
windows does not allow you to install to a usb drive
I got the w11 os installed on my drive
which drive
internal or external
@ionic orbit please tell if its external or internal
external
Like the one you can connect thru usb port
thats where you installed windows
if thats the case then its not supported lol
I mean everyone is installing the os on the usb, yes I also tried with an usb and that still didn’t work
no what I mean is that its not supported by the windows installer. I dont know how and why the installer let you continue
umm no
the install usb stick can have corrupted
no the installer blockes you from installing windows to a usb drive (tested)
you have to use dism to install windows to a usb drive
????
i mean
a windows installer on usb
oh my bad
