I just noticed this tonight and since Ive been on for several hours, My ssd has filled up several gigabytes while gaming. I havent downloaded anything, so Im not sure whats going on. I know thats a broad situation but could someone please help? Ive resorted to downloading wiztree to try to figure out what file is growing but thats obviously proving to be a bit difficult. thanks for any advice

Do you suggest I take screenshot and then compare it tomorrow? I tried that and checked again like 10 minutes later but I dont think it was enough time to really find the cause, I noticed a few changes but the files that were being added too werent big enough to account for the 3 - 4 gb Ive lost tonight. I restarted my pc too and it didnt go back down. At all. I tried disk cleanup just to see if my temp files or something were stacking up but there wasnt much in there

You could compare screenshots, sure. Is this a new PC build or fresh Windows install? Do you have an nVidia GPU? Have all Windows Updates been installed? All of these things can contribute to disk usage, and are completely normal when running a computer.

Im willing to do a full reinstall if it comes down to it, just because Im already getting low on storage space as it is. I could delete some games to make room of course, but I assume if it keeps happening it will cause issues down the line. That said Im going to compare to this screenshot I have tomorrow and see what its at. I thought I noticed it before but chalked it up to maybe steam updating games or downloading a game and forgetting about it. But today I got on, closed steam immediately and started playing SPT Tarkov mod. So really Im unsure what else it could be. I dont think its a Tarkov thing but who knows, that game is spaghetti code
