im hoping to stay around 1.5k but can go up to 2k
current specs:
2070 Super
I7-10700
1tb storage
16gb ram
500W power
also i did buy the Phanteks XT pro ultra that you recommended sim
very nice
Choose Your Parts
this was like the eventual list that was made in that threat but im not to sure about it
the video card just looks too expensive and i think it might not even be used to its fullest potential
they even put the black ones in stock so it won't be a stormtrooper build
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower

1080p or 1440p?
i think 1080p
why do you have so many extra fans?
the case comes with 4 140mm ARGB PWM FANS which is why i love the case
cuz my current case has 0 and it gets very hot quickly so i wanted to make sure to maximize how many fans i can get so its cool
what are the temps?
and again it has more then enough fans the xt pro ultra
dont know, i dont check it but i took the side panel off for cooling
alright, imma take them out than
well how do you know it gets too hot?
ofc i know the body can feel heat but my pc also gets hot but temps are within normal
i dont know if it gets too hot, i just know that after a while it gives off a lot of heat
thats normal, but anyways remove the fans
alright i will but still keep the cpu cooler tho right?
you have a 7800X3D
aka a 50-80W cpu and for me i only get around 50w or less usage in some games
so i also remove that?
remove what?
the cpu cooler you have for it now is super high end for the price and will cool even a 9950X
well when it comes to gpu cooler in the 1 first world it tends to be more then fine no matter what gpu you choose
I am wondering though, is there a gpu that is a bit less pricey but still performs well enough with the rest of the build
ofc 7900 xt or 7900 gre or 7800 XT or 7700 XT all up to how much you wanna spend and what you do
what would you recommend
how much less do you want to spend
preferably like 100 but i would prefer to take your advice even if that means spending a bit more
7900 XT
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX
so than this would be final? i removed the case cuz i already have it
well only thing to say is just that ram as it might be unstable but i also run 6400MT but get it at your own risk or just clock it a tiny bit down, as its pretty easy to do so but anyways i hope you enjoy building it and gaming on it.
unstabe?
well for me i have not had issues but its not the same issues intel is having
im gonna change everything at once tho
imma buy all the components at once and then assemble it when it arrives
yea it will be fine but ram you will wanna run at like 6000 if u dont want it to crash instantly. caz 6400 hard to get working with ryzen 7 7800
not mine
but ofc this is more luck if it works or not
and is there a more safe way?
well its nothing to worry about
it cant do anything permanent
alright, so its safe to buy the parts from this list and it should work with assembling and everything?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX
it should work perfectly when assembled correctly
whats better about this combo than the one i currently have?
Better and cheaper cooler
SSD is cheaper and has Dram
Better and Cheaper PSU
More stable ram
Mobo with more m.2s
@stone ivy what do you think?
well it did not even save 30 euro but that m.2 is probs nicer
but im not too happy about psu
the other ram is cheaper and has RGB
More stable
Why
Its way better than the corsair rmshitboxe
how so, the corsair one is on a tier
It doesn’t have 12vhpwr
how dumb can you be to not see its a amd card, to be fair their is one card with it but its mostly just for OEMs and bossiness
how is it better?
what do you mean?
nahhhhh, a 7900xtx for 1080p?
yuh
i would go up to a 7800XT or maybe 7900GRE
It’s not. 1440p >
im doing it, but ofc its not too great when i get 200+ fps in most games i can use it but most ppl use a lower Hz 1080p screen so a 1440p 160hz or better is what i would argue for minimum for a high end gpu like the 7900 XTX even tho im not following my own advice
Exactly
