#No display after computer bootup
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The HDD is in SATA 0, and the SSD is in SATA 1
No LED's light up on the motherboard, from what I read, there are none
Damn thats a pretty old board
Alr
Uhhh since theres no debug lights its gonna be a lil annoying
First try removing the ram and putting it back in, sometimes that can help
Also when I plug in my keyboard, it light up, so I doubt its the motherboard
Ill send a picture
Thats just power
You can still have issues even if u have power
But ur saying it boots, but the screen stays black?
If its not giving a display using the motherboard hdmi then there is an issue with the motherboard
Try the ram thing first
?
Took the RAM out, put it in, still the same issue
HDMI from the GPU to the monitor, monitor works fine
I just don't understand, the GPU couldn't just "break" in the hour that I disassembled the computer in
Did you trying reseating the GPU too?
I have
I just completely disassembled everything and reassembled it, to see if maybe I didi't connect some wires
I feel awful, but I think the only conclusion is that I broke something while taking it apart the first time
There is absolutely no way my computer was working completely fine moments before I took it apart and now it doesn't
I don't want to give up but I don't know what to do
I'll call a computer person tommorow, if they find out the exact part that is broken, i'll get a replacement
Man, what a way to get your first computer experience
Repair shops suck ngl
Oh lord this thing is your first computer? I hope it wasnt expensive lol
Not just because you are having issues with it
Because thats some old tech
Solid 8 years old on the gpu, solid 5 years old on the cpu
Board was bad when it came out 5 years ago im afraid
old prebuilt, 500$, still a lot, but it worked for 4 years so 120$ a year.
I just hope the ssd and hdd can be recovered
I read online and some people say canned air is not good for the system and can break parts
I guess the moisture can cause short circuits, but I unplugged everything before doing it.
Computer person will come tommorow
Wait you have had it for 4 years?? Im confused
I have had it for 4 years
This was the first time I took it apart
_ _
The computer guy came
I shorted my SSD
We replaced it
After that we looked at the old SSD
it's protected by bitlocker
Recovered half the files through microsoft one dive
The other half
I don't know, I'll see
I don't know how to delete the post
