#GPU fan bearing problem
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
it just sounds like a old card doing old card things, and yes most gpues even modern ones can make this noise out of the box if you set the RPM to MAX
the bearing in the middle when putting my finger on it is super hot 💀 but if
ig
i might just disable the fan all together
if i can figure out how to do that without changing the others
if your running the fan at 100% and your slowing it down it will get hot
i mean in
yeah u right
would you know how to set it to 0RPM all the time or do i need to cut its power
as long as afterburners fan profile is not running it should just stop
but if it is NEEDED then i have had to swap a fan on a 1080 strix card and its not too hard
see that’s the thing
i already did a fan swap for this thing 😭
and i just got this back from my cousin and noticed it was doing it
ig he never noticed it
maybe because you were not running it at 100%
the ones i buy from ebay are always crap
it happens at any rpm just not as dramatically
i notice the fan wobbles a lot
get a case and it should be fine
ye that might just be cheap fan stuff but ofc if its on 100% its normal
nah this was happening in the case that’s why i’m running it on my crude test bench rn
but idk i’ll see
tbh due to its age it might just be better to say sell it as a gpu with issues then buy a new one but if its not needed too some gpues you can remove a and it will still work
yeah that’s what i plan on doing, but i think i can set it to 0 and have the other fans work fine on normal curve
you can also do the normal 120mm zip tie fix
or that lol
fan control III i think might be able to do that
