What is your budget?
how can you recomend a broken cpu?
Because he’s an idiot
Microcode update
well the cpues did not start bluescreening after 1day it took a month a year before people started to see the most amount of issues
and it has happened once and you see how intel is handling the situation
Yeah they are extending warranty
https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Additional-Warranty-Updates-on-Intel-Core-13th-14th-Gen-Desktop/m-p/1620853
Following Intel’s earlier announcement regarding two (2) year warranty extension – from date of purchase, up to a maximum of five (5) years - on Intel Core 13th/14th desktop processors, please see below for additional details on the program. Intel Core 13th/14th Gen Desktop Boxed/Tray CPUs The foll...
Discord makes that image so weird
the minimal they should do 😮
imagine extending the warranty on a failed product
no but having chips fail also isn't a good decision
no that they could change that but still
thats a lot of dying cpues
Yeah recall all and go bankrupt, good idea. You should start a business 👍
maybe do not make a product that has a "100%" failure rate (100% comes from a ton of game devs but for lower end their are less reports)
intel can at least allow for a easy way to RMA the broken chips for the people who do save every receipt or who do not want to spend money on useless things by buying a tray cpu
Everyone makes mistakes lol
a yes 700$ mistake for almost every user who bought a 13900ks
I can count so many companys that made mistakes
Asus with their 2000$ gpu, who charge 700$ for a repair
Or gigabyte with their 200$ psus
Or the 200$ repair for a 500$ asus ally
Shit happens
but most or all of those companies have a easy RMA process
but also remember the scale of the issue, when some studios have a 50% or higher failure rate it becomes a bit of a bigger issue especially when intel knew of the issue for so long.
Same with asus
Intel also has a easy rma process
tray
well their stuff aint all dying and asus is not the only GPU maker
I would say the 14700K or 14900K but all the Intel haters would say they are still broken
I see no issue, contacting the place where you bought the cpu is easy
Intel is also not the only cpu maker
what if it went bankrupt in the 2 years this has been a issue
how many desktop cpu makers are their?
They still need to have a running return process
how?
Many. Intel, amd, Raspberry pi, arduino, adafruit and so many more
wow your dumb
People have right to Return stuff. They not to keep that running because of that
Huh
arduino uses atmega cpues, adafruit uses other random SoC cpues too
Custom versions
only 2 of these you can use in a desktop easily and only 2 of these have high perform aka actually usable for gaming
how can return something to a store that has no employs?
You didnt specifie that. Also qualcom makes cpus
Bro what? Every company needs a place to Return stuff even tho they are bankrupt
if you have no workers you cant do shit for RMA since you have no workers or a store to do that
What about the owner
do you think a owner is going to do 10k+ RMAs for his bankrupt company which he dose not earn anything from
He has too
why?
ye i know about the EU return policy
as i also live in the EU
So the owner has to take back the cpu
how can he do that if he has no money or a place to stay?
I dont think he has No place to stay
ok fine you are right he dose have the street or a cardboard box
Funny
but again what if you bought a tray cpu and the seller is not accepting warranty?
Lawsuit against the seller
is little Timmy and his poor family going to sue for his 200$ cpu?
Yeah
so he is going to use 1000$ or more on a lawyer to get back is 200$ cpu
and also remember we have had to have this discussion just because intel is not allowing RMAs of TRAY cpues and its up to the store you bought it from if they are even willing to do that
You know how lawsuits Work right?
ofc
but i just wanna se how a lawsuit works for you?
Little timmy gets his money back if he wins it
what?
usually he only gets back his cpu
I mean the money, the lawsuit cost
you know it can take a super long time to file a suit and it is also possible to only get the product back
But the Person loosing the lawsuit has to pay it
A losing party pays attorney fees only if the winner is specifically given the right to recover legal fees in a contract between the parties or through a state or federal law.
