oh uh no
but i was watching a video
wouldn't do any damage, just more effective to my knowledge
but it said to o *Dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
so yeah it didn't work and i got confused
uh hold on lemme boot up my pc
i just slept on the problem but yeah im just figure it out now
but yeah uh let me go run that command
shouldn't i be running like checkhealth
or anything before than
ok yeah gave me a bsod uh
running the programm or after reboot or something
so run this rn
im in the command prompt
yes
just to be save i coppied it again from microsoft website, make sure you have no typos:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
(should be case insensitive but just copy one for one to be sure)
i read the "self help" article from microsoft
it said to do a system restore
cuz i assumed it was a driver i installed that was just corrupt and it only took a few hours to kill my pc or smth
like it won't even let me system restore cuz the only drive that Im allowed to back up
can't even be clicked
@broken wasp how does installing new hardware uh
cause bsods
cuz i just upgraded to ddr5 so i had to replace mobo and ram
but everything was kept the same
ok, thats a lead, do you know what frequency the ram is set to?
ok so uh
when bsod happened
i was running at 6000 as i enabaled xmp
but when it did happen i was like it might be that issue that i had with the ram being on xmp
so i turned of xmp
and it worked
but this time it didn't
i dropped it to 4800 and yeah
nothings happening
and i just did the test where u basically remove a ram stick to see if anything happens
and yeah uh still same issue
imma post on the ltt forums to see if i can get more help.
yeah, I probably can't help more here
well, thank you for your time, i appreciate it
Could you try resetting bios just to see if that helps? By jumping the 2 clr cmos headers or taking out the motherboard battery and popping it back
If i take out the mb battery
How long do i have to take it out for
Why didnt i think of resetting bios smh god im dumb
Like 30 seconds but you can do 2 minutes
Ok ok
@rare spruce i was doing something, but i did do a reset
and it still had the bsod
i removed the power from the pc as well to make sure there wasn't power to it either
I don't even know what else to suggest sadly. I would say try using only one stick of ram but seems like you already did that
i did that as well sadly
@copper linden You are AnonYee on the forums?
Yeah
To be clear, when I said to repair the install on the forums, I meant to use the USB Windows installer. On the "Install Now" screen, there is a Repair option in the bottom left.
i think i tried that, but the problem is that when I tried the repair it asked for a drive and well I couldn't even select it...
You tried DISM which is not the same
yeah ik i tried multiple things
Did you create a USB installer and boot to that?
I have not. I am currently downloading the usb thing
