you DON'T. want to know.
it still has a PCMCIA slot.
One had a pentium 3 something, dell has a core 2 duo t7250
Integrated graphics, emachines has 2 gb of ram, dell has 4.
Emachines has one big IDE HDD, and I've put an SSD into the dell, so it doesn't run like gramma on the paraolympics.
Both have windows 7, I'm dual booting 7 and vista on the dell for I dunno don't ask me
Oh yeah, DDR2 ram.
Wierd enough, the dell is older than emachines (judging by the looks)
Dell is from 2006/2007 ish.
But they're from the same period, yet the emachines still has an IDE slot.
Someone was upgrading the SHIZ out of the dell. this did NOT have 5 GHz internet in 2006.
PCMCIA my beloved 🫶🏻
real
Smh this computer is so easy to service like
I don't need a screwdriver to get out the keyboard.
Wow
sweet
Same as my laptop, heh
I also wanna ask what year your laptop was made
didnt expect to hear that after decades
Love the latitude D630!
My D830 (same generation, 15") actually had 5GHz WiFi with an Intel 4965AGN card. I had to replace the card anyway (with an intel 6235) though to run windows 8.1 and 11 properly
Uh, they keyboard's supposed to be held with 3 screws right?
Around 2006
Well, yes. But it's easy to disassemble and upgrade (unlike today's blocks of glued soldered junk with void warranty the second you touch it with a screwdriver)
Mine was most likely upgraded, since I have around 4 gigs of ram, and a 5 GHz network card
And a T7520 supposedly
T7250.
Core2duo clocked at 2 GHZ
These laptops are portable beasts for 2000's gaming tbh...
those look like the type of laptops your grandma give you because you wanted a pc
They're perfect for kids lmao
You can't break one unless you try
true
ah yeah 4gb ram woulda likely been an upgrade
do you know the model of the wifi card
is it an intel 4965
4965 is a stock option for the Dx30
Yes but no
