I have an am4 socket motherboard and currently using a ryzen 5 5600g and a two fan 4060ti, stock cooler. Obviously it's not a good pair and I have bottleneck issues, but when I go to the bottleneck calculator almost every CPU recommended on youtube is giving around 20% bottleneck. A lot of places recommend the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, but it's a bit pricy for me right now. Do I have other options that won't bottleneck my gpu like crazy, maybe the Ryzen 7 5700X? And do those options require me to buy a new cooler aswell?

Never ever use the bottleneck calculator as it's so wrong for most games.
What games do you play?
rly? didnt know
elden ring, lol, cs, r6 and cyberpunk mostly
CS loves a good cpu and loves 3D vcache so a 5700X3D or a 5600X3D will be good but tbh your cpu and gpu combo is still kinda ok
Have you installed cpu drivers and are you sure your monitor is plugged into your gpu?
Also while gaming try and press alt+r and you will bring up geforce performance overlay to see the true bottleneck neck in games
i am sure I have the latest drivers everywhere and the monitor is indeed plugged in the gpu. The fps loss isn't that bad with my current combo, just think its about time I get rid of this 5600g, had it for forever
ill try the alt r thing next time i play
im prob gonna buy the 5700x3d then, do I need to buy a cooler or will the stock one be okay?
