PC freezing under heavy load

My PC (build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Rkd2PF) freezes every time I play more graphically intense games like BeamNG at ultra, First Descendant, Star Citizen (niche one I know) yadda yadda. It's been happening for a while now and I've tried almost everything from memory scans to driver resets to bios updates. This is one of the last places I'm going until I just slap in a spare GPU until I can get a new one. I've tested this GPU in other PCs and tested my PC with different GPUs. so far this PC is the only one that's had the problem, and it worked perfectly fine with a 1080. My sister's PC (don't know their specs) runs the GPU perfectly fine with no crashes or anything.

TLDR: my GPU causes freezing under load, but works perfectly fine in any other PC I put it in, and my PC works perfectly fine with any other GPU in it.

I would absolutely agree, looking into a better cooler will help your PC overall. For that chip I would suggest a larger air cooler when possible as the cpu will be fine under light to medium use but when it has a sustained load, such as gaming it will spike very hot, very quickly and overwhelm that cooler. The tried and true(imo) Noctua NH-D15 would work very well.

What GPU is freezing and what others are you working well with? Are you fully removing the drivers between each install?
Is this an issue which started as soon as you built the pc or a new issue recently?
Have you checked the thermals on the PC/GPU at idle and under load?

the GPU that's freezing is the RX 7800 XT, and the ones that aren't freezing are a 1080 and a 960. The 1080 has external power but the 960 gets power from the PCIE.

I haven't uninstalled drivers between GPU swaps but I've swapped them around quite a few times and no new problems have come up other than the freezing.

This issue started in late march-early april and in may I swapped to the 1080 and used that for a while. Recently (last night) swapped back to the 7800 to fix it. Thermals for CPU, GPU, and RAM all are what is said to be average under load and idle.

Look up a video on DDU, That will help you make sure there are no lingering nvidia drivers causing hangups with your Radeon install. I will maintain you need a better cooler, do some research and get a better one asap, no thermal problems right now doesnt mean you arent asking for a headache longterm with a $400 cpu and a $10 cooler

Definetly doing some CPU tests to see what damage it did. Although I haven't really spent a lot of time in high load games such as the ones I mentioned in the original post, due to the GPU crashes.

New issue. I loaded a game and while watching the CPU temp (stayed around 40*c) it crashed anyways. I might have done some damage to my CPU and I should save for a new one.

My dad's PC is getting ~60c at idle and a max of 100c, while I get 50c at idle and a max of almost 100 but more average 95c. Everything we've done so far hasn't stopped the issue, and I'm starting to believe it actually is a GPU compatibility issue, because the RX 7800 XT works perfectly fine in my sister's PC. I really don't know what to do other than get a new GPU, keep the packaging, test it, and send it back if the issue keeps happening. If it does, it's a CPU issue and I'm getting a new CPU. if it doesn't, I'm keeping the new GPU and giving the RX 7800 XT to my sister.

Another crash happened at ~60c under load. I really believe it's a compatibility issue not a CPU issue.

More proof of that, games with lots of parts but they don't need much input from GPU doesn't crash, but a game with not so many parts but the all look awesome crashes.

Ok it just crashed again and this time there was a black square on my screen that moved (not smoothly at all it was teleporting) when I moved my mouse, but it didn't move where my mouse would have. Like if I moved my mouse up it would move right, etc.

No, RAM doesn't really cause freezes. It doesn't make sense what I said if you don't do debugging, my bad. When it's RAM, it doesn't really blame anything, it just finds bad data and blame the process that used the bad data.

New issue. Since the new motherboard is a micro atx it doesn't have bluetooth built in, so my dad gave me a dongle and it's giving this error. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've searched a few different things and gone through a few different sets of instructions and found nothing.

Its probably usb 3 issue the dongle dont has usb 3 support. If not you will have to change something in bios. The dongle is probably not usb3

Alrighty then. It just happened again. I opened up my PC and none of the pins are bent. The only thing we haven't swapped out at all is the CPU.

Before I go buy a new CPU I'm going to look for any cables that might have gotten slightly unplugged and see if there is any.

I mean like power cables connecting my PC to the wall or to my monitor. Just in case.
