#Infinite boot into bios

It is
2.5, the connections are good as well.
try to use a different sata port for the ssd
Or cable
Gonna have to take the gpu out then, hold on 🫤
i have the same issue
It’s generally recommended to reinstall windows when switching motherboards
if your switching to another platform like from intel to the king amd then you need to reinstall
Although jayztwocents made a video showing “how easy it is to move drives between systems”, but I doubt it’s that easy, he just got lucky
i move drives for just testing that a system boots but never use a disk from another system long term
Moved from AM4 to AM5, so 🤷♀️🤷♀️
PGA to LGA so deff a yupp
Getting debug lights from mobo now.
Already tried cmos, might have to remove the cpu fans to access the ram then 🫤
it booted into bios….
seems so yeah
am5 is well known for that mine normaly takes 3m+
and into the bios again 🥲🥲
can you send some pics of the pc and drives?
As in the cables and specs?
pictures with a phone
Any specific points exactly? Like cables
and the drive
try to change both the cables from the HDD to the SSD
and also consider getting a big upgrade by getting a nvme ssd
Honestly haven’t had any issues with the speed, but might as well soon.
if its ded then it will be pretty soon
from HDD to SSD is masive and to nvme is pretty big but nothing like HDD to SSD but nvme is still good to go for with a modern pc
Still boots into bios, used a completely new cable
migh be a dead ssd
have you changed boot order?
gimi a sec i think i have a msi mobo so i can guide you trough some stuff
just try to boot and change the boot order
As in from the bios right now?
And the other options are: CD/DVD”, “USB Hard Disk”, “USB CD/DVD”, “USB Key”, “USB Floppy” and “Network”.
Which are not right 😵💫
just try and boot
Back into bios, changed the first one to the second, if that’s what you meant
ye
It booted into the bios again
I’ll try clearing cmos once again
When I sometimes boot now, this pops up:
“Press «Del» to run BIOS setup, or «F11> to run boot menu Press «Ctri+F5> to activate M-Flash for BIOS update”
I spammed F11, but the bios still came up….
Nevermind, connecting the keyboard is smart
But nothing much changed, a menu popped up which wants me to set up the bios or something
What does the boot menu show
Did you have more than one drive before, and remove one of them now?
Fucking windows. When you have 2 drives, it’ll install the EFI partition (I think that’s the boot loader) onto whatever drive is labeled “drive 0” by the motherboard regardless of which you select to install to.
This causes both drives to be present for the install to boot
So what should I do in this situation?
Since I currently only had the OS drive installed, now trying it with both
But now with both drives installed, the menu looks the same…
HOLY FUCK
Changed from UEFI-CSM
or whatever it was
Which it was at the start, but still didn’t want to boot 😃😃
Appreciate you both though! 🫶
You enabled csm?
It's on CSM now, yeah.
