Hiya! It's my first time upgrading a build and I'm definitely not tech savvy so I'd appreciate any help I can get :') - I currently have an RX 580 and wish to upgrade to a 4070 Super. Potentially use both of them in the future!

I've taken as much directionless initiative as I can before coming here and tried answering some questions I had x Please let me know if/where I went wrong, I really want to learn more! Sorry for the weird format :') specs at the bottom

Claims:

  • The 4070 Super will work with my 650 Watt GPU considering the other components listed below.
  • Though the 4070 Super is Gen 4, the PCIe 3.0 slots on the motherboard are forward and backwards compatible with different generations, including with the 4070 Super.
  • The performance impact of using PCIe 3.0 slots for a gen 4 GPU is very small/negligible.
  • I can still make use of the RX 580, where according to the manual I can connect my 4070 Super to the PCI_E1 (PCIe 3.0 x16 CPU) and my RX 580 to PCI_E3 (PCIe 3.0 x4 PCH) provided that I upgrade my power supply to a 850W one.
  • With two GPUs, I can run Discord, chrome and so on using the RX 580 GPU, while running games and productivity programs on the 4070 Super GPU.
