I am building my first Pc as i have become fed up with my current lavacake asus laptop rig, it currently runs a Core i7 9th gen and a 2070 (super i think? not rlly sure), I have over all taken about a week putting this build together on pc part picker using a couple of linus guides and then two other ones online. as looks aren't my main goal here I just want pure performance and not 1440p ultra high industry standard performance, I want low temps performance with a lot of constant power. I always optimize my games to be super sharp and competitive and could care less about how pretty the game looks. My last comment is I plan to buy this build part by part and not all at once and would preferably like to get good used parts to make it cheaper as I am pretty young with poor money management and all advice is welcome. I don't even mind switching to amd I just want dummy performance. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Chrome9s/saved/#view=7bCWrH

another thing is I will be daul driving this setup, half the time I will be gaming playing things like warzone and elden ring and xdefiant and then the other half i will be making music on ableton and other Digital audio workstations which require lots of ram

#

oh yea I plan to run daul monitors while gaming and producing for videos and discord and streaming occaisonally

and are you near a microcenter

#

BTW the parts list is private, so you'll have to set it to public or you can just send the direct link

#

you usually want to spend more on gpu than cpu

#

are u just going for best build you can get for your budget

#

or does it need a certain aesthetic?

and i need it to be like good at doing a lot at once

okay so

#

my other question is

#

like is there an issue with intel and nvidia when it comes to that build i made

lone perch
#

amd has a better price to performance for cheaper builds

ashen gazelle
#

ima buy like the case first t

ashen gazelle
#

wait

#

i need to get a rtx card for one game i play w ray tracing

ashen gazelle
#

rtx on my king

#

rtx on

#

i’m fine with the cpu tho

#

and i really need shadow play

i need dat sweet sweet raay tracci

cosmic geode
#

no

#

amd has ray tracing cores

#

i use the rx 7900 xtx in fortnite and normally get 120+ fps while playing on MAX MAX setting, and when i use rastor aka not lumin or raytracing stuff i get closer to 240-360 normaly around 300 fps when playing on epic settings

#

so a big fat no to nvidia and go amd even for raytraycing

#

and amd has all the things nvidia has

tepid jackal
#

Nvidia still crushes AMD at ray tracing at the high end

a 4080 super gets 39.4fps at 4k with ray tracing while a 7900xtx gets 27.2fps, with FSR or DLSS, the 4080 super would get much higher frames
