My desktop PC keeps freezing and then blue screening and rebooting like nothing happened. I can't even run a simple game like Roblox before my PC blue screens.

The blue screen error was something like critical process ended

What should I do?

Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and check if you have any minidump files. If you do, go back to the Windows folder and copy the Minidump folder itself to the Downloads folder (You can use the desktop if you don't have OneDrive syncing files). Zip the copied folder and attach it to a post. Please follow the instructions to the letter as Windows doesn't like you messing with files in this location.

@heady veldt Do you have more than one storage drive?

rugged edge
# heady veldt Yeah

When it BSODs, it dumps data to the page file and creates a dump file from this data on the next boot. We can try moving the page file to a different drive and see if that makes it able to create them.

Alr I'll do that in a few min

Just change the location and restart

#

@heady veldt Deleting it

heady veldt
#

but i did change the location

rugged edge
#

I have no idea why the guide has that, if the change was successful it won't be there

#

The page file is basically extra RAM so just deleting it is not a good idea

#

Just really slow because it's on disk

heady veldt
#

so what should i do now

rugged edge
#

@heady veldt If you can trigger a crash you can try that.

# heady veldt What do I do with the min dump files 🗣️

Copy paste: Check if you have any WHEA events. WHEA events will show errors from hardware. Open Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs → System. On the right hand side click Filter Current Log. In the Event Sources dropdown menu select "WHEA-logger". If you have any WHEA events, highlight them, right click and save. Share the file here. If you have a ton, do 4-5 of the latest ones.

Correct copy paste: Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and check if you have any minidump files.

Did you zip the folder?

heady veldt
#

Yea

rugged edge
#

Then use a file host

heady veldt
#

nvm

rugged edge
#

@heady veldt It just looks like the OS is fucked. Which would make storage a suspect.

heady veldt
#

Fuck

#

Does that mean I have to buy new storage

@heady veldt You can try reinstalling Windows, these are kinda vague it's just my best guess
