I have a dell precision t7600 that i put a 1660 super oc in and its running well but i still feel like it could be better and im wanting to upgrade. it had 80gb of ddr3 and dual xeons. ik one of those could be a reason
it is slowing down cause i know ddr3 is not great and dual xeons cant really be taken advantage of.

yeah i figured and i plan to build my own soon but that will be a bit before i save up enough for what i want

fastest tubo is 3.3ghz for that server single core matter most for games but that 3.3ghz tubo allso old gen with lower ipc

#

i border line say that a rx 6600 be overkill

yeah my dad is am it analyist for some company and he gave me this pc thinking it would be wonderful for gaming which it is but i think its bottlenecked by the 16 cores and 32 threads when they cant be taken advantage of in most games

hang on rx 6600 may not be that as good since only 8 lanes

#

and it will be pcie gen 3 over pcie gen 4

storm cedar
#

yeah the pc only has pci 3.0

#

and i just checked the max the cpus can go is 3.0ghz lol

ghz dont matter but clock for clock newer cpu a faster and 3ghz low by modern cpus

i was looking at trying to get an rtx 2060-70 just to boost it a bit and try dlss even if its not that good, cause it will at least be better than the gtx 1660 super i have rn that cant use rtx features

zinc drum
#

dlss takes load of gpu not cpu

storm cedar
#

ik

zinc drum
#

its dose the same as dlss

#

but can run on allmost all gpus

gotcha i noticed in warzone that fsr 3.0 with frame gen works wonders just didnt know if anything was better, and i also havent figured out how to use it in every game yet

makes sense

amd gpus do have a driver level one but it upscales end game render not mid way eg dlss/fsr just upscail 3d and keep all overlays/text on menu native in most games not so much for driver level

storm cedar
#

oki so all it really does is driver level upscaling?

#

wait no you said it doesnt do that or not so much mb

zinc drum
#

amd fsr is per game rsr is in driver dose same thing but game dev can add the fsr step in pace to make it look better then just rsr

#

its cool tech i dont use since my gpu "good"

storm cedar

gotcha, i understand, there is a driver level version of fdr if i had an amd gpu but if a game dev wanted they could add a game level fsr
