so randomly when im using my computer, either gaming, normal chrome usage watching yt etc the pc will just black screen the fans will keep spinning the lights dont turn off just a straight up black screen and reboot. sometimes it reboots fast and sometimes it has took 5-10 mins. i have went to event viewer when it restarts and this is what it will typically say

  1. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xffffe084cb83e010, 0xfffff8039123bb30, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved in: - C:\Windows\Minidump\061924-7609-01.dmp. Report Id: c5f3a377-4ba9-4396-97f5-07bcd50ad18e.
  2. The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
  3. The previous system shutdown at 10:41:59 PM on ‎6/‎19/‎2024 was unexpected.

specs:
ryzen 5 7600x
msi b650m-p
thermalright phantom spirit se
rtx 3080
t force 32gb 6000 cl38 ram
corsair RM750e 80+ gold

i have ran 3dmark tests and will attach my scored to see if they are normal as well as what the dump files say from the crashes

try optimizing the pc, checking if theres any suspicious activitie or mainly js force rebooting it.

0x116 is Video_TDR_Failure which means that the GPU wasn't responding, Windows reset the driver, but the GPU was still not responding so it ordered a BSOD.

#

This is very often a faulty GPU, but can also be drivers or temps. Or if you are overclocking/undervolting, remove it.

#

If temps are fine and you aren't undervolting or overclocking, try DDU to clean out the old GPU driver and then download and install a fresh one. https://rtech.support/docs/factoids/ddu.html

#

If it still crashes, a faulty GPU is the main suspect.
