I would say make the upgrade, yes the 5800X has a higher temperature, but it can easily be handled with a AIO cooler, which are getting cheaper and cheaper, and the performance cannot be beat, however, if you want to just to light gaming, then I would get a lower end CPU, because the 5800X is medium range CPU, but yet again, I have a 5800X and can say it preforms amazingly well

I'm planning to get a 280mm AIO (The Arctic Liquid Freezer III)
One of the big reasons I'm upgrading is because of the bottleneck between my 3400G and my Rtx 3070
100% cpu utilization while my gpu is sitting at 15% at 30c
I've been told that if I undervolt it or just have a competant cooling solution that I should just be fine
If you are having a bottleneck then def upgrade, with those stats you need a update. Undervolting the 5800X is a solution to tho
You can always return it too
Thanks for all of the info, I'll go by MemoryExpress and purchase the procesor (and it's acompanying cooler) soonTM
My AIO is supposed to arrive in a few days so im using my 212 EVO
I've done benchmarks (CS2, Photoshop, Cinebench, etc.) and it hasn't thermal throttled (or even gone above 80c once)
