#black screen no signal
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Gpu deactivated it self in device manager. Had to activate it then deactivated and reactivate again. After doing so, 5 seconds later it went black again (prolly cuz gpu deactivated again) and I was left with shutting down again... Pls help
Re-seat your GPU and Check if the power cables are connected properly
Are connected properly. After a reseat every time it helped for like 1-2 days, then it happened again. Gpu always deactivating it self just had it again
Can you list the specs of your PC. Including your power supply?
Ryzen 5 7500
Assassins spirit 120 (CPU cooler, Smth like that)
32gb ddr5
850W Thermaltake (gold certified, ain't got the full name rn)
Radeon 7900xt
Samsung 970 m.2 1tb SSD
If you need the full names maybe I can list them to you in like 20mins
Your power supply is enough for this GPU. If you can send motherboard name too would help
MSI b650 gaming plus WiFi
Have you tried other DP cable or hdmi
Should all be compatible actually
Nah but the no signal is just because of the gpu deactivating it self i don't think its due to cable or?
It is easy to do and I have seen crazy things haha
Easy to switch cables.
Oh well I ain't got a Displayport 1.4 tho else I could use HDMI but just got 2.0
I mean the probability of it being the DP cable is small, but since switching cable is easy to do I think it worth a try
What is the resolution of your display? And refresh rate
Uwqhd and 175 Hertz
Ok, it will not run full refresh rate but you can try
Well that would also require me to use it for like 2-3 days till it just MAYBE happen
Idrk if that would be fun haha
Other than that only if you had other PC to try this GPU in. Or other GPU to swap.
And how is the temperature of the GPU then?
Always like 40-60°C
But never showing a problem when gaming, when shutting down and letting it cool down and then after a long day restarting it happens
Btw: I always turn off and unplug my thing
This thing
Whatever it's called haha
I also have this thing:
When I zoom to the back you can hear the noises when listening closely, idk if that's coil whining or something due to input or whatever
I think it is called power strip
Have you tried to uninstall the GPU driver with DDU and install again?
Oh bet haha
Not with ddu just through device manager
Do you know how to use DDU? I think it's worth a try.
Idk Imma try it later on tho
Watching YT while doing it would be enough ig
Also is that somehow weird for my CPU showing more frequency then base frequency? It's not overclocked
Base: 3,7
Current: 4,5
It is turbo bost. It is normal
For DDu
Download DDU from Guru3d and download the latest driver for your GPU from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel from their respective download pages. Do not start DDU yet. Start Windows into Safe mode. To boot into safe mode, click on the start menu, click the power icon, hold shift and keep holding it, and then click restart. You should arrive at a blue screen with multiple options. Click on "Troubleshoot," "Advanced Options," "Startup Settings," and click on "Restart." Once you have rebooted into safe mode, run DDU and click on clean and restart. Install driver once windows boots normally. Display Driver Uninstaller: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP-2B14Nckw&t=83s
Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) - Remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL Graphics Drivers Cleanly - DDU is a driver removal utility that helps you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, leaving no leftovers behind, including registry keys, folders, files, and driver store.

Bet bro will do that thank you
And download the GPU drivers from the AMD site, not from your GPU manufacturer site.
I do download it from the Radeon software yea
@rose sage can you tell me if that's right tho? I don't want my PC to get power over night if like bad weather appears or stuff like that yk what I mean
I also don't turn of the I O from the PC just from the power strip
Actually unplugging your computer from the power every is not good for it. Even when it is off the motherboard still receiving a small amount of power to keep its clock in the right time. This is why your motherboard has a watch battery in it.
So if the only reason you unplugged it for the power plug is to protect it, I would advise you not to do that
Damn fr fr?
Yk due to work I play like 2 hours on weekdays so the other 22hours I let it unplugged
Let it plugged it is better for the computer
Oh bet I'll thank you brother
