DDU Safe mode to -Studio and Gaming none of these fixed the issue.

Also when I’m gaming everything runs smooth just after some time black screen stuttering audio and reset.

#

Happens also when I’m just on desktop with discord open

rustic elbow
#

anyone have a clue?

rustic elbow
#

Tried a bunch of other stuff still same problem

@rustic elbow Please provide the actual dump files. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and check if you have any minidump files. If you do, go back to the Windows folder and copy the Minidump folder itself to the Downloads folder (You can use the desktop if you don't have OneDrive syncing files). Zip the copied folder and attach it to a post. Please follow the instructions to the letter as Windows doesn't like you messing with files in this location.

This is unlikely to be the DX kernal causing it, 0x116 is Video_TDR_Failure which means that the GPU was frozen, Windows reset the driver, but it was still frozen so it ordered a BSOD. DirectX handles a lot of the GPU calls so it likely just reported that the GPU was frozen.

#

This is very often a faulty GPU.

Bluescrenview is terrible, please follow the instructions.

rustic elbow
#

sorry

#

it wont allow me to upload here hold on

rustic elbow
heady geode
#

@rustic elbow Yeah, it's like I said. It's the GPU hanging.

rustic elbow
#

there was a X3D option i enabled

#

not too sure what it does but since i do have the 7950x3d

#

i enabled it

#

so far it hasn't crashed duo to directX or anything

#

it has only crashed because of a usb or something

#

but bluescreenview and event viewer didn't show anything about directX kernel fail

#

just a usb bluetooth error

rustic elbow
#

or amybe im not to sure but didnt'seem like it

heady geode
#

That's the Bluetooth

#

BTH = Bluetooth

rustic elbow
#

after the bios changes my pc started running for 2 hours and some more time.

heady geode
#

It connects via USB from the WiFi card

rustic elbow
#

which it didnt before.

rustic elbow
#

Well i have nothing connected to the wifi adaptars or anything

heady geode
#

Click Details on the error

rustic elbow
#

but i did switch my logitech bluetooth receiver

rustic elbow
rustic elbow
heady geode
#

It has no idea why it stopped working so it just unloaded the driver

#

Could be a random one-off

rustic elbow
#

i see

#

tbh after i did the expo II and X3D enabled on the bios the uptime of the pc has been longer then it had before before it would crash 20 min or even imidiatly

heady geode
#

And I have no idea what that BIOS thing you did could be, not finding anything looking through a BIOS walkthrough video either.

rustic elbow
#

now it reaches 1 hour constantly

heady geode
#

Could you check what it was and take a pic?

rustic elbow
heady geode
#

@rustic elbow EXPO 2 was a higher or lower speed?

rustic elbow
#

thats all they gave me as details about it.

heady geode
#

Take a pic of the EXPO profiles as well

rustic elbow
#

alright 1 sec.

rustic elbow
#

X3D core flex is what it’s called

heady geode
# rustic elbow

Ok, the 7950X3D has a 3D V-Cache for one CCD, the other has normal cache. X3D Core Flex tries to prioritize load on the cores that has the 3D cache.

rustic elbow
#

Ah

heady geode
#

I can't think of any reason why that would affect the GPU.

rustic elbow
#

Not sure either

#

But

#

It has been up for 2 hours and 55 min without crashing about direct X

#

Just that weird usb event thing

#

Just now I had it running for an hour and 30 min

heady geode
#

The EXPO 2 profile has the max speed of the sticks and the advertised timings of that kit so not sure what the difference is, maybe voltage and subtimings.

rustic elbow
#

Yeah everything seems default

#

In the timing

heady geode
#

The product page doesn't list the subtimings

#

So I have no idea if that's the optimal profile or something else

#

Check if anything changes from EXPO 1

rustic elbow
#

Yeah will do sec

#

Yeah

#

So

#

All the options under

#

Are auto now with expo 1

#

That’s kinda it

#

I don’t see anything else

heady geode
#

Did the speed and main timings change?

rustic elbow
#

No

#

Same 6000

#

And main timing are the same

heady geode
#

Oh, wait

#

I thought EXPO 2 was the profile

rustic elbow
#

Oh

heady geode
#

On this board, it has an overclock tuner. Basically automatic overclock settings

#

So this is a different tuner

rustic elbow
#

Ah yeah

heady geode
#

I never use those so I have no idea about that

rustic elbow
#

I see, I really don’t know why the pc is running now though just weird to me

#

Can still send my gpu for rma if it happens again today

#

Was giving the pc like till this weekend to fix somehow

#

Otherwise Monday gpu goes to msi

#

Anything else you might think I could do?

heady geode
#

With that BSOD error, only DDU.

rustic elbow
#

Yeah I thought that would be the case tbh hahaha

#

But so far I haven’t gotten it again

heady geode
#

I am not familiar at all with the X3D option, but I don't see how using the other CPU cores would cause crashes for the GPU

#

If it was RAM, it should corrupt basically random data, not the GPU driver every single time

rustic elbow
#

Well

#

It just happen again

#

Lets see what the hell

heady geode
#

This is a pretty expensive build, have you used a PCIe riser to make it look fancy?

heady geode
#

Not really?

rustic elbow
#

Sorry no I haven’t

#

I wasn’t sure what it was

#

So I looked it up

heady geode
#

Ok, I hate PCIe risers. See issues with it so often

#

Anything between the GPU and PCIe slot, I hate it

heady geode
rustic elbow
#

getting the details for you.

heady geode
#

Yes

#

Same as before

rustic elbow
#

yeah this time it happen when i got out of bios and went into windows login screen

#

i heard a usb sound go in

#

and it crashed

heady geode
#

Try DDU. but it's likely the GPU.

rustic elbow
#

any versions you can recommend me?

rustic elbow
#

6 weeks is long without a pc.

heady geode
#

I mean the crash, not USB pairing

rustic elbow
#

and when i thought it was weird it crashed

#

all this time i do not hear a usb being put in ( sound )

#

and now that i went back to bios it happen

heady geode
#

So it could be the board because you had the bluetooth not being happy as well.

rustic elbow
#

Damn

heady geode
#

Do one from May

rustic elbow
#

alright

heady geode
#

Windows Driver Type → DCH (DCH uses Windows Update for certain parts of the install/download, required by Windows now so non-DCH drivers are several years old)

#

Recommended/beta → Recommended/Certified

#

Back in 10, do DDU

rustic elbow
#

will do ddu now

rustic elbow
#

alright did ddu

#

555.85

#

gameready drive of may 21

#

custom - no gforce experience

#

So I did that and now it instantly crashed the moment I went on discord to buy myself nitro lmfao

heady geode
#

Set up the RMA

rustic elbow
#

Yup
