What the hell did I do
The CPU and RAM debug lights are on, but the ram has already been resented
*reseated
Shoot wrong channel
Sir chill
Did you change settings in the bios?
What did you do after windows was installed did it boot to windows
No, I didn’t boot it to windows at all
I put windows on the usb stick
And then i came back
Yes
@velvet bobcat update?
Okay SO
I cleared cmos
and now the bios isn’t even like
Coming up
How long should I have kept the cmos battery out for?
I put it back after 1 minute
That’s enough time
okay
No lights atm
So just no display?
Sure idm
Okay so for a second it worked
and now it doesn’t
Should I clear cmos again? I think that’s what I should do
Okay it works now lol
What did you do to fix it
Probably waited, similar thing happened to me
I was wondering wtf was happening and then a few minutes later it just started working
Amds memory train is slow AF!!! Push the power button first time, go have a smoke and a pancake, then come back.
Unlike intel, where memory training takes 20 seconds.
Man, I forgot how much better AMD is, the user experience is SO good
Did you want 4 dimms of Ram... lmfao... AMD, obviously the best... 🤣
Did you want stable speeds over 6,600? 😂
Okay, I'm done.
Neither of them are very good tbf
I see you have a bottle of copium... take another pull my friend
??
Every time some mentions a genuine advantage of intel/Nvidia you brush it aside as inconsequential. It's a coping mechanism, thus the copium joke.
If I have to listen to yall berate me every time I try to recommend a non red product, I gotta poke back when the chance presents itself
The good news is I heard the new AMD memory controllers for the next gen are fire. This advantage of intels maybe gone by the end of the year. AMD is looking strong
Yes, I know that AMD’s memory controller isn’t very good. I was just saying that intel’s isn’t much better with 4 sticks
My main rig is running 4 dims of 3600 cl 14,14,14 at 1.35v... Intels memory controllers are better than you realize my friend
Intel does have better memory controllers if you get a good board.
Is that ddr4?
DDR4
Intel's better memory controller does not matter most of the time
AMD can handle 6400 MHz
Anything above that is expensive anyways
Yhea, ddr4, its a 2020 system. I'm due for a new rig, But saving up car money to buy a new PC is brutal
But for a REALLY overkill build it may matter
Like 14900K with 7200mhz
7950X won't do more then 6400mhz
But 7800X3D exists 😹
For gaming only tho
It was a oc rig for laying big scores, I've turned it back for stability now that it's a daily driver
Dudes were hitting 10000+ at computex. The new ddr5 is insane
Yeahhh but even intel doesn't handle more than 7200 MHz
Unless you have a golden chip
Yep, current cpu can't handle it
DDR6
Next gen will be a good year for ddr5, both for intel and amd
Amd is delaying the mobo release for next gen, releasing the chips first...
Makes me think they are working with the new flat ram dim design
Rumors say the IPC gains will be low for next gen amd, but memory management is getting a jump
Excited to see what drops this year, samples incoming next month?
I’m not talking about ddr4. Ddr4 is much better with 4 sticks
Somthing tells me dimms and so-dimms will be gone by the time we hit ddr6.
One module CAMM2 is going to be the new standard me thinks.
But the 1 vs 2 vs 4 dimm arguments can still rage for another year
Like this?
Mine does this too ut just takes a while to boot, alot longer than you think tbh
