Ive been having issues with my pc lately. Ill notice when switching through tabs sometimes a weird white flash will pop up, its never the same size and its jagged on the edges? I cant really explain it well without someone seeing it but I made sure to try all my video cables and it still happens, also happens on any of my monitors regardless. Either way I also feel like i dont get the FPS a 3080 and 12700k should get in the games i run, Im unable to get more than 100 in overwatch at ultra quality. Although that is like a fair fps cap and maybe at ultra it is what 3080s are supposed to get, the main problem is that the fps will drop significantly when I enter a battle with lots of effects going on. Same with fortnite, dropping out of the bus will make my fps severealy drop and engaging with any enemy will be impossible. Only after playing the game for a bit, maybe like an hour will it run fine, not sure if its a fortnite thing or my pc thing since my friend says it also happens to him but not as sever are my situation.
I ran 3DMark Timespy Extreme and it says my PC failed the test and Im noticing some weird drops in the 12700k cpu frequency but Im not smart enough to tell if thats a contributor to the issue or not.
I should mention that a couple weeks before my 3080 would have these red flashing lights on the power signaling my gpu wasnt receiving enough power, and back then I was really in the performance dump failing just the normal Timespy test by a large percentage (think i got like 70%?). I ended up reseating my gpu and riser cable from cablemod and all my psu connections and that didnt fix it, but what ended up "fixing" it was manually changing my pcie in bios to gen 4, but it seems that not all my problems were solved by that. Please let me know if you need any extra info or need me to elaborate (dont think i did too good a job at explaining my problems) to figure out whats wrong and I will try my best to get it to you. I attached my pcpp.
