im using WizTree to see which file is taking the most storage of my ssd, and i found t he file name windows.old
that old one is literally taking 69.0 GB and thats alot
but im afaird if i delete it, my computer wont work again
and aparently i didnt do my homework before i switch the computer, i still have some nvidia file in my system thats is now running with AMD Gpu, that also is taking storage but somehow i cannot delete it
computer work, but that file called window.old bothers me
yes
i basically just switched everything except my storage drive
To address the nvidia software, use ddu (display driver uninstall) to remove old display software/files
You could backup important files on the ssd, make a windows bootable drive, and try deleting that folder. If everything’s fine, continue as normal. If it breaks, reinstall.
wait, i just manage to force delete the nvidia drive
with anti malware
the only problem is that am i safe to delte the window.old
^
if theres 2 windows folders 1 being the old one from the other system then there will be 2 system32's meaning the old one should be fine to delete as you have a new one
this is where its located, in my C drive. i think i should be safe in delete it
but i would also say do what creeper said and back things up that is valuable to you just incase things go south
ok, im installin th ddu rn
FIXED
you delete the old folder im guessing
and the nvidia driver that i cannot uninstall
nice nice
