RX 6700 XT only displays in windows (no output during bios splash screen) | Linus Tech Tips | Page 1

So I just got this Asrock 6700XT Challenger 2 fan for about 115usd, it works flawlessly so far
but the weird problem it has is that, it doesn't output a picture if I haven't installed the driver
so I have to boot with the card installed in my pc but use an IGPU or another working gpu to get to windows and install 6700XT driver
it can go to windows and I can hear the windows 11 sound boot, but no display without the driver installed
I though it was just the vbios being borked, so i tried reflashing it myself with a good vbios, but no luck, it still does the weird thing
but it actually works without a problem once the driver is installed, any ideas how to fix it?

I also have the same 6700xt. if you got it new and have warranty its better to get it replaced. Mine doesnt show fan speeds and now it has heating issues.

it doesn't have warranty anymore I'm afraid, I got it used for 115usd so I was half expecting it to not even work lol
but it doesn't have any heating issues, and it shows fan speeds just fine on my card
it works normally except for this weird issue of not outputting any display when there's no display driver
