I am in the process of planning and ordering the parts for my new PC.
I will replace everything aside from my storage as it is still fine.

Now there's two options me and my friend (he'll come over to help a bit and to make everything go a bit faster) have considered.
My question is, what option would be better? would my second option even work?
- wipe the drive.
What important things do I have to save on (for example) a USB Stick, that should not be erased (I will copy over the windows key) .
1.1 is that even worth it?
I have had my last PC for a long time now and although there's a lot of junk, that id be happy if it was all wiped (too much to reasonably delete manually), re-installing necessary things for me such as discord will probably take up a lot of time and energy. - Is just plopping in my old SSD, with windows and everything installed plausible? Does it even work?
The Internet is very sparse in that Direction, since often you don't take over your storage space, so I was hoping to find help here.
My current build has an Nvidia graphics card and my new one amd, so I don't know if it may create problems with drivers or the data for my current mobo and other components ( all parts will be from different producers than now ).
⭐So to conclude everything
-can you just put your old SSD into your new build, that's based completely on other brands and then install new drivers? (For example: I had a Nvidia gpu and now an AMD one)
-does just erasing everything and starting fresh make more sense, and if yes then what are important files I should definitely save somewhere else, like the product key?
