#BSOD FOR NO REASON

Open hwinfo64 and look at the temps of your cpu and gpu
if one of them starts getting above 95°C you might need to get some new thermal paste or just clean your pc
with whea uncorrectable error what error specificaly?
My temps are both under 70, it’s a mobo issue i figured out
How did you figure this out? WHEA means a hardware issue with the CPU or a PCIe device so it can be the motherboard, just not that common.
When i read dump files, the bucket id thing said that the mobo wasn’t detecting cpu or somethin
So i’m just gonna exchange the mobo
You don't read the bucket ID with WHEA crashes
You take the data from parameter 4 and decode it using the CPU programming manual
Give me just a second i’m not at my computer currently
And just to be clear, GenuineAMD.sys is just the driver Windows uses to read the error record off the CPU with this, it doesn't mean that the motherboard thinks the CPU is fake. Every single WHEA crash has that driver involved.
From the information you posted, it sounds like an issue with the CPU cache.
Ok give me just a second i’m gonna get some grub to eat then i will be at my pc
Do u think i can fix or do i need to exchange it
And sorry if i sound like a bot i’m not the most technologically advanced
Depends on the CPU. PBO can cause this (Automatic overclocking, BIOS setting). Some 5000 series CPU need a slight overvolt sometimes for some reason. So it depends which CPU it is. Updating the BIOS can help.
I'm going to bed soon, but I can look at it in the morning.
I’m on my pc now
Ok, copy the minidump folder to the desktop (The downloads folder if you use OneDrive, it messes with things)
The folder itself, not just the files inside
Then zip it and drop onto the chat
Sure. We just need it out of the Windows folder because of the restrictions there.
Also i’m really stupid apparently how do i find the mini dump again cuz i don’t remember how i got there
C:\Windows\Minidump
Prefer more to see if it's the same issue every time
Just do the whole folder
All of them are cache errors
ok tell me what i need to do
You have two different cache errors, just seeing if they both are with the same cache
One is when reading data from the L1 cache, the other is when fetching and instruction from the L1 cache. The latter technically being a bus/interconnect error.
Anything overclocked or undervolted?
Nope
Ok, so two things you can try. First go into the BIOS' overclocking section and find Precision Boost Overdrive. Set it to Disabled.
Second, if you still crash, go to the overclocking section again set a 0.050v offset to the Vcore.
Found a BIOS walkthrough video, let me see if I can show you where it is
So in the Tweaker menu, set CPU Vcore to Normal and then set Dynamic Vcore (DVID) to +0.050v. Make VERY certain you get the number right
Sounds good ill be back in a minute
Precision Boost Overdrive, it basically overclocks your CPU until it hits the thermal limit
Will it be in that same tweaker section?
@stark thorn It usually is. it might be under Advanced CPU settings or CPU/VRM Settings in the Tweaker menu.
The walkthrough didn't open those
Ill find it
Go there and look
be back in a min
@stark thorn And it can be the board as that's how the CPU gets power and how it connects with everything, just less common.
Core Performance Boost is just normal Turbo.
It will be called Performance Boost Overdrive.
Ok
@stark thorn You know how your CPU stats say this?
The boost is Core Performance Boost. What Intel calls Turbo.
PBO is clocking it even higher than that.
Ohhhh ok gotcha
@stark thorn Ah, googled it. The A520 boards don't have PBO. It's considered an advanced feature for the more expensive boards.
So just do the voltage thing?
Could you take a picture?
Also can i turn xmp on or should i leave it off cuz i had someone tell me to turn that off
These are pretty small voltage increases so try 0.054
